Sugartree Farm is located in the scenic Catoctin Mountains, close to Cunningham Falls State Park, Catoctin Zoo, Gettysburg Battlefield, Eylers Valley Chapel, and just 1 hour away from DC, VA, WVA. Antiques malls, shopping outlets, wineries, farm markets, eateries, fishing, off road biking & hiking trails are all nearby. We offer a primitive "Off Grid", no electricity or running water, outdoor privy, camping experience in a beautiful chestnut grove. Sit back and relax by a cozy campfire.

Le logement

Sugartree Farm Tiny Cabin is unlike other camping areas. Here you will be virtually alone, although we are a working tree farm. Depending on your arrival date, there may be farmers haying the fields and forestry/landscape crews working in the area. An occasional hunt club member may pass nearby during hunting season. But they're all great folks and welcome visitors.

Accès des voyageurs

Guest have access to camping area, with picnic tables, open fire pit, and hiking trails.

Échanges avec les voyageurs

Your hosts live nearby in the farmhouse just down the mountain, if you should need anything. We will be there to greet you and show you around, or give detailed directions on where to obtain the key, and directions to the tiny cabin. Also, we will be happy to show you how to start a campfire. Or, we can just show you where the wood pile is, and leave you on your own.

Autres remarques

Sugartree Tiny Cabin is "Off-Grid", and has no electricity or running water and has an outdoor privy (outhouse). A water dispenser and wash basin are provided for your use in the cabin. Please bring fresh water for drinking. Guests have asked if they can move the twin beds together. Yes! Feel free to move things around. We want you to feel comfortable and at home.

Sweet beautiful cabin and sweet beautiful hosts. This is really a lovely place in a fantastic location. Our son loves to fish and had a wonderful time here and it was so close to the lake. All the details were well thought out so that it was a very comfortable stay. Thank you again Brenda and Slim

This is my first experience with Airbnb and it was a great first impression! I read all the online reviews about the Tiny Cabin and everyone had only great things to say, but you have to see it yourself to appreciate how amazing it really is! I did not want to leave. One night is not enough! Wonderful hosts that take great care of you!! Lovely atmosphere, beautiful property, hiking, campfire, comfy beds, sounds of the outdoors. I have never seen a nicer outhouse! :) It was very freeing to be off grid (no electric, barely any cell phone reception yay!). I wasn't ready to come back to real life.

We had a great night at sugar tree cabin! Brenda and Slim were amazing hosts and made sure we were familiar with everything so that we could have an amazing night next to the camp fire. Our only wish would have been to stay longer so we could have experienced more of the surrounding area. Thank you Brenda and Slim for having us!

Our tiny cabin stay was amazing from start to finish! Brenda and Slim were the sweetest and most welcoming hosts. You can tell that the cabin and their land is so well taken care of. Learning about the history of the land was a sweet bonus! We felt comfortable our entire stay. The cabin was so quaint, cozy, and clean. Slim and Brenda were so concerned about our comfort that they even brought us extra big blankets. The beds and pillows were so comfy, we got the best sleep we've gotten in months; ten hours of sleep to be exact! Although we were prepared for the most part, the cabin contained useful items such as utensils, lanterns, hand soap, etc. Sitting by the fire pit morning and evening was so relaxing. We didn't want our stay to end! We loved the Catoctin mountain area so much and we know just where we'd want to stay for our return.. the tiny cabin at the Sugartree farm.

Hi! My name is Brenda, and I'm a ceramic artist and gardener. My husband, Slim is a musician, storyteller, and square dance caller. Our love for the outdoors and traveling have taken us to all 50 states! We love camping, hiking, biking, sightseeing and immersing ourselves in the local culture, meeting new people, and making new friends. What we both enjoy most, is living on our farmstead in the mountains. I'm from a generation of gardeners and farmers, and our family has enjoyed raising sheep, pigs, and chickens. Although we no longer raise adopted farm animals, we still have several barn cats that keep us entertained!
