Sugartree Farm is located in the scenic Catoctin Mountains, close to Cunningham Falls State Park, Catoctin Zoo, Gettysburg Battlefield, Eylers Valley Chapel, and just 1 hour away from DC, VA, WVA. Antiques malls, shopping outlets, wineries, farm markets, eateries, fishing, off road biking & hiking trails are all nearby. We offer a primitive "Off Grid", no electricity or running water, outdoor privy, camping experience in a beautiful chestnut grove. Sit back and relax by a cozy campfire.
Sugartree Farm Tiny Cabin is unlike other camping areas. Here you will be virtually alone, although we are a working tree farm. Depending on your arrival date, there may be farmers haying the fields and forestry/landscape crews working in the area. An occasional hunt club member may pass nearby during hunting season. But they're all great folks and welcome visitors.

Your hosts live nearby in the farmhouse just down the mountain, if you should need anything. We will be there to greet you and show you around, or give detailed directions on where to obtain the key, and directions to the tiny cabin. Also, we will be happy to show you how to start a campfire. Or, we can just show you where the wood pile is, and leave you on your own.
Sugartree Tiny Cabin is "Off-Grid", and has no electricity or running water and has an outdoor privy (outhouse). A water dispenser and wash basin are provided for your use in the cabin. Please bring fresh water for drinking. Guests have asked if they can move the twin beds together. Yes! Feel free to move things around. We want you to feel comfortable and at home.
We live in a quiet, peaceful valley, among humans and wild animals.
Please, no loud music and noises. Quiet time is at 10PM.
Please respect that our property is NOT suitable for children or pets. Please remove your shoes before entering the cabin. Many Thanks!
Hi! My name is Brenda, and I'm a ceramic artist and gardener. My husband, Slim is a musician, storyteller, and square dance caller. Our love for the outdoors and traveling have taken us to all 50 states! We love camping, hiking, biking, sightseeing and immersing ourselves in the local culture, meeting new people, and making new friends. What we both enjoy most, is living on our farmstead in the mountains. I'm from a generation of gardeners and farmers, and our family has enjoyed raising sheep, pigs, and chickens. Although we no longer raise adopted farm animals, we still have several barn cats that keep us entertained!
