As your hosts, either myself, my husband John or another family member will be there to welcome you and see you settled in. How much interaction you'd like is up to you, but it's our intention to give you as much privacy as possible. There's a sister in Salt River, nephews and nieces in Scarborough and myself and my husband across the Bay in Rooiels. If you do want more interaction like going on walks, taxing, braai-ing, maybe bike riding we can make a plan between us.
You have shared access onto the property with a long term tenant in the cottage next door. There's a double garage for two cars if you need as well as shared off-street parking. There's games and a small fridge in the bar to which you'll be given your own key.
- Smoking is only allowed in outside areas.
- Have a party but please keep it down after 10pm.
À partir du 1 décembre 2017 - 28 février 2018, la durée minimum de séjour est de 7 nuits.
I am the youngest of three sisters who inherited this house, a house and cottage that my mother bought with the intention of hosting many family gatherings. She loved entertaining and meeting new people as do I. My husband and myself live in a small village across the bay, work for ourselves as creatives, and appreciate the beauty of the Cape. We walk and cycle the mountains, are into nature conservation, host a Pop Up restaurant in our studio and run an arts centre in Pringle Bay.
Having grown up in Zambia, we were lucky as a family to have travelled to South Africa and Europe when we were young. In later years, whilst teaching Art in the UK, I had plenty opportunity to visit other countries and the funniest moments usually involved my laissez-faire attitude toward pre-booking accommodation! Now that I’m in this position, I thank those of you who do pre-book and hope that we can make your stay as pleasant an experience as possible.
