Our home is within a few minutes drive to both Sugarbush and Mad River Glen Ski areas. Close to Waitsfield, one of the best farmer's markets in VT, 50 minutes from Burlington. My husband Steve has been dubbed the "Mayor of Waitsfield". We have a Keurig for coffee, tea and hot chocolate, and will provide fruit and continental breakfast...and Mollie the collie! The bedroom has an adjoining private bathroom which you see in the picture. In the winter, all wheel or 4 wheel drive is necessary.
We have a large spacious house at the end of the road and up a hill with views of Sugarbush. 15 acres of combined perennial gardens and woods with trails to take you to another dirt road leading to town woods full of trails for hiking, snowshoeing, and mountain biking, all without driving. A quiet deck for reading or soaking up the sun is accessible.

We may not be available to check you in during the week before 6 PM, but the door will be open. I work part time, and Steve has some flexible hours, so we are frequently home or available by cell. We also provide detailed information about house safety, how to get around "the Valley", areas and places of interest as well as events. We do enjoy meeting new people, and are happy to light a fire in the living room for you to enjoy.
I will leave lots of information about attractions in the area for you to read in your room.
Although we do not provide evening meal, in the event of a severe snowstorm that, in our experience, would constitute a danger for you to go out, we would, of course, invite you to eat with us:). All wheel drive or 4 wheel drive is strongly recommended in the winter.
We are in the mountains and have not found the need for air conditioning. we do have a fan for the few warm nights.
- The room and bathroom lock from the inside, We live at the end of the road and have wonderful neighbors I can offer use of our dryer in the event of a serious downpour. You are welcome to bring the makings for sandwiches and keep them in our refrigerator and limited kitchen use (microwave to reheat etc, but no cooking meals). The living room is also available and we may make a fire some nights.
