Meadow View is close to Windermere, Ambleside, Kendal, the Kentmere Valley, wonderful walking, mountain biking and cycling locations.
Staveley is a vibrant, yet peaceful village with excellent village amenities. We have three comfortable bedrooms, (see our other listings), warm shower room floors, hot powerful showers, simple, but good quality breakfasts.
Note our other rooms appear to be along the road but they're all here on one floor. This is an AirBnB mapping issue!
Our rooms are bright, fresh and uncluttered. This room is a twin room or a very large double, with two 3' zip-linked beds but it also has a third 3rd bed in it, so if you would like to have it for three people please let us know and we will give you a price for this. We have another room which is a standard double and another one with two 3' zip linked beds (see our other listings)
There is no TV! Wi-fi is, however, available. Tea and coffee making
facilities are available on the large communal landing area, and this is
where you will take your breakfast. There is one large table and a serve
yourself breakfast, so you may find yourself sitting with other guests -
perhaps an opportunity to swap stories or ideas for adventures or
activities. We keep our prices low and offer a simple breakfast of coffee,
tea, cereals, fresh bread or toast, fresh fruit and jams, often from the garden.
Accès des voyageurs
You will have keys for your room. Check-in is after 5pm. However, if you
would like to drop luggage off earlier in the day this can be arranged.
Check-out is 10am.
If you bring your bike we can lock it in our garage overnight.
If your clothes and boots are soaked we will do our best to dry them!
Échanges avec les voyageurs
We will welcome you to our home, show you to your room and offer information to further the enjoyment of your stay, for instance walking and cycling routes, information about the village, places to eat, train times etc and anything else you might like to know and that we can help with. We are very approachable but not intrusive.
All our rooms are upstairs and have sloping ceilings so very tall people will wish to bear this in mind!
Our special interests are hill and mountain walking and running, kayaking, rock climbing, scrambling, cycling and mountain biking. Dan is a qualified mountain instructor and can be booked for days out and instruction. He has over 40 years experience, and is reassuring, competent and knowledgable about the geology and geography of the Lake District. For further details, just ask!
- Our home is quite calm and peaceful most of the time! We want everyone to enjoy their stay here so keeping the noise down is in everyone's best interests so we have a Quiet Time rule after 10.15pm
