Access is through a communal main door and stairway leading to private apartment door. There will be some storage space (free clothes drawer, part-free wardrobe, part free kitchen cupboard). The apartment is on the third floor (please note: no elevator).
Kennington is a central neighbourhood just south of the River Thames (1 mile from Big Ben) and adjoining the districts of Waterloo and Vauxhall. It is a safe, traditional area with a long and interesting history in itself, but a great base for exploring the history and culture of Central London and the South Bank by tube, bus, bike or foot.
Right opposite the property are:

- Traditional English pub (good, trendy crowd... and no noise or trouble)
- Modern pub/restaurant/cocktail bar
- Dry cleaners
- Excellent Italian-run restaurant/pizzeria
Kennington Underground Station (Northern Line) is only 10 metres (yes, metres!) from the property.
There is a also bus stop (served by 4 routes) and a public bicycle rental station (credit/debit card operated) right outside the property.

Waterloo 3 mins
West End (Embankment) 5 mins
West End (Piccadilly Circus) 7 mins
London Bridge 5 mins
City (Bank) 6 mins
Kennington is uniquely located for those wishing to cycle or walk, being almost equidistant to all the bridges and central districts of the city - Victoria, Parliament Square, West End, City of London, or Tower Bridge (1-1.5 miles approx to each).
The property is also even closer to the South Bank, London Eye, Bankside, The Globe, the Shard skyscraper, and the famous Borough Market, which are all a short hop away by any mode of transport (or a 20-25 minute walk).

Sorry, no other visitors to be brought back: ie. this is a great flat for a couple, for example. However, since there are other apartments with permanent residents in the same building, this is not the booking for you if you're planning on partying, loud music, drunken antics, etc!! ;).
