Chestnut cottage is part of a stone built Normandy longhouse renovated to modern standards but retaining original features such as oak beams and a large open French fireplace housing a log burning stove. The cottage is set in private gardens with the adjoining Olives cottage. The area is tranquil and peaceful with dairy cattle and apple orchards in the surrounding countryside. There is also nearby a village with bakeries, butchers, cafes and a supermarket. There are plenty of places to visit.
