Casa Elena is great for everyone: families (with kids), business travelers, and couples. It is located in Marina Palmira. It is beautifully furnished, has a well-equipped kitchen, can comfortably sleep 6. Quiet, very private, 24 hour security. The marina includes a restaurant and a small store for necessities. Close to downtown, beach within 1 mile. One week minimum stay.
The unique thing about my condo is that it is a "hidden jewel." The entrance to the building, Atalanta, is through a boatyard. My co-host, Rodolfo, will show you the way in. If you have a rented car feel free to park in the space labeled Condo #4. And please note the beautiful mural in the area leading upstairs. It is a painting of the goddess Atalanta (of the golden apples) and was created by my late husband.

As I have already mentioned I live in Portland, Oregon, and I will not be there to personally greet you. You will be in excellent hands with my co-host, Rodolfo Rodriquez, whom I have known for 10 years and whom I consider "family." His wife, Ana, is the person who scouted out this condo for me and my husband in 2007.
If you come in after midnight the entrance gates to the area will be locked. You will need to summon the security guard. Rodolfo can fill you in on the details.
No special rules. "Mi casa es tu casa." Simply use good judgment. Remember that this is also my home.
My life motto is "The only moment you have is NOW. Live life as if it really mattered."
This condo is very special to me. My husband and I bought it 2007 as a retirement home, a place where we could live out our "golden years." Sadly he passed in 2012. So I have decided to share this unique place for others to enjoy. It is not a typical vacation rental. It is my home and therefore furnished accordingly. The walls are adorned with watercolors created by my late husband.
I live most of the time in Portland, Oregon, and some of the time here in La Paz. I have a beautiful black cat named Rumi that I share with a neighbor. We call him our "time share cat." I have 3 sons (my "baby" is 47 years old, so that gives you an idea of my age) and 4 grandchildren, ranging in age from 19 to 7. I play the piano and love to dance! I am teaching my 7 year old grandson to play the piano---it is one of my favorite things to do. I am an avid reader, currently interested in cosmology, but I also enjoy good novels. I cannot live without music, the universal language. I love the theatre, the opera, the symphony, and good stand-up comedy. I like to think that my outstanding quality is "what you see is what you get." I look forward to sharing my home with you and encourage your feedback.
