We stayed in Dunia & Juan’s apartment in November 2016 and found it to be comfortable and well designed.
While it’s not huge, it would suit 2-3 people, however 4 adults would probably be a little tight (but still possible). We were 2 adults and 2 small kids and had no space issues. One thing to be aware of is that the second bedroom can only be accessed via the main bedroom, which might be an issue for non-families. Another small issue we had was that the water heater seemed to have a low capacity – so could only handle a short shower before running out of hot water and needing time to re-heat. This wasn’t a big deal when we understood how it worked, but we did get caught out before we were familiar with it. Again, this might be a problem for 4 adults. Juan did say that they plan to investigate improving this, and we believe him, as it’s clear our hosts want this apartment to work as well as possible.
None of the above are major issues, but I'm providing this information up front in the interests of transparency.
On a positive note, the apartment is freshly renovated and clean, with new furniture and new (well-stocked) kitchen units. A welcome basket was provided which was very nice and appreciated.
It’s obvious Dunia & Juan have put a lot of work in to the design and they have a good eye for it, so the apartment looks good. I would recommend this apartment.
