Our place is in the Blaeberry Valley, just North of Golden. It is close to Kicking Horse Ski Resort, white water rafting, helicopter tours, ATV adventures, snowmobiling, horseback riding, wolf adventure, hiking, fishing, & other family-friendly activities! A great place for couples, families (with kids of all ages), group events, and we allow pets with prior approval.
Rustic natural log cabin with character. Be prepared for a true Canadian wilderness experience! Best views in the valley.

You are on 40 acres so please feel free to wander the many trails on the property or hike to the river. You may get lucky and see the elk herd roaming the fields or the bald eagles fishing from the river. Remember you are in lightly touched wilderness and the occasional bear has been spotted.

No cable TV.
Do not touch or feed the horses, the owner of the horses (Farmer) feeds them daily.
Watch for wildlife, we are in the wilderness so there have been bears, wolves, elk, eagles, etc.
There are cliffs on the property so pay attention to signs and keep a safe distance. Children MUST be watched at all times.
*Smoking is not allowed indoors. Smoking is allowed outside only
(cigarette butts must be emerged in water and disposed of properly to avoid fires)
*There are horses on the property, please exercise caution. Do not climb into their pens and watch children and pets carefully. Do not feed the horses.
*No candles allowed
*People other than those in the guest party set forth above may not stay overnight in the property. Any other person in the property is the sole responsibility of the reserving guest. Guests are not allowed to exceed the occupancy limit agreed to above.
*Cabin is privately owned; the owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. The Cabin owners are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guests. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise.
*Keep the property and all furnishing in good order. Only use appliances for their intended uses
*Pets are permitted only with prior approval.
*Housekeeping: There is no daily housekeeping service. While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. Please feel free to use the washer and dryer.
*Garbage: Please take all trash, including bathroom trash bags, out to the boot room but do not put garbage outside as it will attract wild life.
*Hot Tub: No children under the age of 12 are allowed in Hot Tub without adult supervision. When using the hot tub, remember there is a certain health risk associated with the facility. Use at own risk. DO NOT STAND ON THE TUB COVER and NO JUMPING IN HOT TUB and SHOWER BEFORE ENTERING HOT TUB. Hot tub covers are for insulation purposes and are not designed to support a person or persons. They will break and you may be charged for replacement. Remember when not using the hot tub, leave cover on so hot tub will stay worm.
*Fireplace: The fireplace is a wood stove. Please do not throw combustible materials in the fireplace. If you have never operated a wood stove, please do not attempt without proper instructions.
*Water and Septic: The cabin is on a well and septic system. The mineral content of the water is high. During a drought, the well water may have an odour. The septic system is very effective; however, it will clog up if improper material is flushed. DO NOT FLUSH anything other than toilet paper. No feminine products should be flushed at anytime. If it is found that feminine products have been flushed and clog the septic system, you could be charged damages of up to the cost of repair.
*When water is turned to the river water, is potable but many people could be sensitive to the minerals from the river. So please consume at own risk.
*Gravel drives are well maintained; however, we highly recommend four wheel drive and /or chains during the snow months.
*CAUTION: This property is on and overlooks the river. There is a primitive trail to the river, however there is no lifeguard on duty and the current can be strong and water freezing, so please exercise EXTREME caution when around the river. There are also cliffs behind the cabin over looking the river with no fencing/boundary lines. Please watch your step and give yourself enough room to safely take in the scenery. Always keep a hand and watchful eye over children & pets and again USE EXTREME CAUTION!
