Entire 2,600 sq ft house rental. Near Dorney Park, NYC, Bethlehem, Muskifest, Philly, Blue Mtn, hiking, PPL Center, hip restaurants+bars with a highly walkable diverse downtown right outside the door. Eclectic art filled interior including the most famous private bathroom in Atown, home theater, large wood burning fireplace, sunny kitchen, back patio w/fountain+fire pit, app controlled lighting, Victorian details. Great for quick get aways. Big city cool w/out big city prices. Say no to normal.
Featured in the music video by the band Dentist (video coming Halloween '17, shot 9/9/17), Lehigh Valley Live's "Cool Spaces" column and 3 times on the Old Allentown historic district house tour, this house has original Victorian details outside and in. It was built in 1873, but is filled with local modern art and modern bathrooms and kitchen. This is no mere crash pad, nor cute or quaint, it's a destination in and of itself to come hang out in and interact with.
You want something? Ask, I'll do my best to make it happen. In house massage service (no happy ending, but an unhappy one when you have to check out), live mellow music in the living room, Phantoms hockey tickets, Iron Pigs baseball tickets, helicopter ride (not cheap, but fuckin' cool). Give me some lead time on those, all are extras. You can also roast your own coffee to take home (if you have a grinder), I'll throw that one in for zilch. Hit me w/anything you can think of, my job's to make you damn happy.
Home of the Pay-It-Forward-Beer-Stash.
Great for a couple's getaway or to spend time w/friends somewhere fun+funky.
If you want the usual, this probably ain't the place for you.
Accès des voyageurs
I'll be gone. The entire house except the attic is open. Washer/dryer in the basement as well as free weights are available for use. There's two closets free for your stuff, another for coats and jackets under the stairs.
Go ahead and use the drum set, you won't disturb anyone.
Échanges avec les voyageurs
I stay about 10 minutes away when the house is rented, but I'll be available as much as you'd like during your visit to help w/advice, directions, any technical problems or to discuss the house history and its art contents or just hang out if we hit it off. I work days, but can check texts frequently. I'm on call 24 hours if need be.
I'll cop to being a blabbermouth, so I'm used to being told to shut it.
The Funk House welcomes EVERYONE from all communities and cultures.
I'm a fan of colorful language, so don't hold back on my behalf.
There's a lot of technical crap, so a quick initial walk-through is required, this place ain't normal.
The entry to the shower is a bit tight and there's windows w/no curtains.
The cooktop is electric, but fast to heat up, please keep an eye on your grub.
There's no microwave, microwaves have no soul. No dishwasher either, I'm a minimalist. Besides, there's a passel of restaurants right out the door.
When you're not living here I do, this is my home, please keep that in mind.
Do NOT shift or take the rock off the table (it'll make sense when you're here).
Please don't blow out the house speakers, they kick pretty much ass w/out gettin' nuts.
If thou takest from the Pay It Forward Beer Stash then thou shall contributeth thereto in the form of beer. Not cash. Preferably good/interesting shit.
There's no need to wad up the bedding when you leave, unless you enjoy that for some reason, I already know you've slept in the bed.
Entrance to shower is narrow because of the full size urinal.
