My place is close to St Andrews with great views. You’ll love my place because of the views and the ambiance. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids),
A lovely early 19th century cottage just five miles from the historic coastal town of St Andrews (there's a cycle path all the way there), Stonecutters Cottage is part of a small holding.
Located in a idyllic spot just under a mile down a farm track (fine for cars) off the A91, the place has a rural feel but is accessible and makes a great base for all that this part of Scotland has to offer. The cottage dates 1825, single storey has been recently refurbished with a neutral back drop and furnished in a retro style with vintage 1960 pieces.
At its heart is a open planned dining kitchen / living room. This is a great space in which to cook and eat together and chill out at the end of the day. There is also a separate sitting room with TV / DVD and cosy wood burning stove.
The cottage sleeps six comfortable in three double bedrooms: one with a kingsize bed and ensuite shower room and two with twin beds. There is also a modern family bathroom and additional toilet by the utility room. Outside you can enjoy barbecues and fabulous sunset from the enclosed garden and feel free to bring your dog (though not in the bedrooms please)
As well has the scenic university seaside town of St Andrews there are many other lovely places to visit: within three miles of the cottage there is Balgove larder - a brilliant farm shop/ cafe flower shed/ steak barn. Eden mills brewery is a must for craft beer aficionados. Closer still is the Guardbridge Inn which has a good restaurant
