We had family convene from Oregon, Washington, Washington D.C., and Paris France at this wonderful home. It's located on a pristine lake in a community of under 2000 residents.
This home is gorgeous! From the plasma cut designs in the railings, to the bar next to the Man Cave on the beach the details are well appointed!
Our family brought a boat which we tied up for the week at Kenn's dock, and we caught a stringer of fish right off the same dock!
Days were spent soaking up the sun, fishing, and just enjoying each other's company. There are four bedrooms downstairs, two upstairs, the master on the main, and an additional room above the garage.
I can't stress enough how beautiful the sunrises and sunsets were on this lake.
The nearby town is rich in gold rush trail history. We had never been to this part of BC before. We stayed at a time when wildfires were burning across the province, and yet still had clear days and were not affected.
Our host was very intentional about communicating with us about the road closures, due to the fires and kept us informed about any changes.
The nearby town of 100 Mile House had been evacuated weeks before we visited and only reopened a short time before our scheduled stay. We wouldn't have known it had we not read it. All stores were open and our host directed us to the places in town we needed to go to get what we needed.
I can't say enough about our host. He was available, attentive, and even took us on a hike to see nearby waterfall. We spotted 3 bears on the way, he really knows how to find them in the woods!
If you are reading this post right now, it means you are interested in this place, I doubt you will be disappointed if you book it. It is as beautiful as the photos, and better! There are MANY details of character and beauty around this home and you could spend a week there and still not notice them all.
We had a fantastic week!
