Well, I'll keep it simple. It wasn't a great stay. I had paid on Airbnb already but on reaching had to pay the host again - she claimed that she has received payment from other guests from Airbnb in cash/Paytm earlier. I was surprised but too tired to look for other options so paid up and raised a payment dispute ticket with Airbnb, which they resolved (the host didn't pay back any cash). In addition to this, the room I stayed in was listed at something around 750/night, the host charged me at 900/night in cash (900 with AC is what I was told, but it was already listed on Airbnb so I don't understand the increased charge). So despite the refund, I still lost some money - which I'm not going to chase after. The room wasn't clean, very messy, despite the host cleaning it for a couple of hours. The toilet/commode had no seat, so I literally had to 'hover' while I used the loo (that's least obnoxious way to describe it, I guess). I have now decided to book only those listings with pictures of the rooms/bathrooms on display. The bed - well, the host claimed that I broke it - but it was already shaped like a hammock when I slept onto it the first night. The host sent a payment request which I have outrightly denied. The room isn't well lit - there's only one light in the room - yellow light. It does have a nice balcony though. One of the nights there was a power cut for an hour or two - not a fault of the host's, but it just added to the misery as Delhi was really really hot - peak summer time. The locality is okay-ish. Not super clean. At this cost I didn't expect much, just getting the basics right would have been okay.
