The Gem is on historic Van Vorst Park, an upscale neighborhood of Jersey City. In 1851, Van Vorst was annexed by Jersey City. The neighborhood contains nineteenth century rowhouses and brownstones. Landmarks include Jersey City Museum, Barrow Mansion, Dixon Mills, Jersey City Public Library, Jersey City City Hall and the Heppenheimer Mansion. The Grove Street PATH station is located nearby to the north and is the Jersey Avenue to the south.
The Gem is a lovely private studio apartment with a secure entrance ½ flight up from the street in a quiet residential neighborhood. There is a full bath with shower, hair dryer, ironing board, kitchen with coffee maker, microwave oven and a gas stove with conventional oven. There is a full gourmet kitchen with an under counter refrigerator freezer and all the necessities to prepare your favorite meals.

On Saturdays during the warm months, take advantage of the farmers market in the park right across from the Gem. Also for your convenience, there is a Laundromat in the building basement. The garbage area is outside to the right as you exit the front door. You need the front door key to access.

Please note: third guest will sleep in the queen bed unless an additional air mattress is requested by the guest. For your additional convenience, I also provide transport from any of the New York Metropolitan Airports and trips within the tristate area and NYC. Also provide day trips to the tristate area such as wineries and NY nightlife.
This is a quiet residential building and it is recommended that the guests respect the neighbors by keeping the TV volume down and no use of the laundromat after 10PM or before 8AM.
