The yurts are private and serene, located in the back of our farm property. While you are staying with us, you can access the land for hiking as desired. We would love to also share experiences with our animals and livestock. All agri-tourism experiences are accompanied by a member of our family.
We also have a great outdoor playspace for kids - trampoline, swings, slackline, etc!
- The yurts are located on the back of our farm property. We do live on the property which is not in sight of the yurts. We are a working farm/homestead and cannot allow outside animals on the property. You are invited to participate in our agri-tourism experience during your stay. All visits with the animals and/or their living spaces will be done so under our supervision. All animal exposure will be escorted.
- No open fires on the property.
- Mellowspring Family Farms conducts yurt rentals as an agri-tourism activity. Under Virginia law, we cannot be held responsible for injury or harm during your stay.
Come visit us on this side of our daydream! We dreamt of living along the Blue Ridge Parkway many years before we made our final move to our sweet little home farm. We chose Floyd, VA because of the eclectic small town feel, strong community awareness, and amazing heritage in music and stories. In visiting Floyd, we found a need for more options for travelers that included a kitchen space (as a small town, many restaurants are only open a few days per week). We also still feel that we are truly living our dream on our small farm and want to share our experience with others through agri-tourism. Come visit and see what we are up to along the Blue Ridge Parkway in the beautiful Appalachian mountains!
