Shared front entrance. The stairs leading up to the apartment on the 2nd level is off limits..Airbnb Parking Instructions:
All Airbnb guests who plan on arriving with their vehicle to the property and are requesting a parking space.
Parking spaces are only available after 12:00pm on the day of check-in. We have other guests using these spaces prior to 12:00pm. You are welcome to park in the lot if there is a space available. Please check with me prior to arrival if you plan on arriving early (prior to check-in time) and would like a space.
When unloading, keep in mind that there is NO parking in front of the property. To help facilitate unloading and loading, we suggest you double park, with your hazard lights on, in front of the property to unload. Once you have finished unloading, you can proceed to the private lot assigned to you during your stay.
If you plan on using your vehicle on a daily basis rather than parking and leaving it in the lot throughout the duration of your stay, please let me know prior to check in so we can coordinate an easy way for you to access your car as you need it.

Directions to lot from the Airbnb:
Take the next immediate left onto 2nd street
Take the next right onto Randolph Place.
Drive slowly, so you do not miss the entrance to the alley. The entrance will be the first right you encounter. It is paved with bricks.
Follow the alley. The lot is toward the middle on your right hand side. It is the lot between a garage with a white door and a garage with a blue door and an American flag - you will see the white garage door first. The lot may also be marked by a trashcan with the numbers “123” on the side.
The lot has no gate or other identifying characteristics.
Once you locate the lot, please pull your car as close to the left or right hand side as possible.
Pull your car all the way to the front so that it is as close as possible to the building.
If there is another vehicle in the lot, park so that you are not blocking the vehicle in - please carefully park to the side of the vehicle, whichever is empty at the time. If there are two cars in the lot, park on either side and send me a message including a description of the car you are blocking in. Please note that the lot is narrow and may be a tight fit if you are driving a larger vehicle.

Note: On Wednesday and Thursdays, the lot is always full because of DC’s street cleaning restrictions, so please make sure you are taking special care to follow the instructions outlined above so we can better coordinate use of the spaces in the lot.

I take pride in making sure that your room/apartment is fresh and tidy, however, there may be times that minor incidents still occur despite our best efforts.

We take great pride in offering a resident’s type of experience. You are “living like a local” instead of a tourist staying at a luxury hotel. This means that guests staying in our rooms/apartments will often use the kitchen spaces to cook and common spaces (for room rentals) to eat. If our housekeepers missed a spot during her rounds, please accept my apologies in advance for any inconvenience this has caused you. At the same time, please make sure to bring it to my attention as soon as you notice it so that I may address it immediately. Please note that when renting rooms, the bathroom spaces are also shared, so please keep in mind that others may also be utilizing this space during your stay.

My posting states that the bedroom(s) on this property face a main thoroughfare. If you are familiar with city-living, then it will come as no surprise that you will often hear noises from passing pedestrians, cars, public transportation, and other passersby.

If you are sensitive to noise, I have provided earplugs in all the bedrooms to help you better enjoy your stay. Please remember that, unfortunately, noise outside the building is not in my control. Washington, D.C. is a very vibrant, lively, and strident city. We are offering a resident’s experience, so I hope you take pleasure in everything the city has to offer during your stay!

* To be considerate to the other roommates, we kindly ask to keep things on the quieter-side after 9pm. And if you want to listen to music, please remember the other roommates and enjoy via headphones or in your personal space. We’ll make sure to reciprocate the favor.
*Since this is a share house with a common entrance with multiple occupants, we like to ensure everyone has their own space. We kindly ask guests to refrain from entering the 2nd level. We’ll ensure your space is likewise respected in return.
*Whilst we do a thorough professional clean between each guest stay, we kindly ask that prior to leaving, you clean and put away any dishes or kitchenware used and put any dirty towels/beddings in the hamper/plastic bags provided. It helps us get through our cleaning process quicker and allows us to keep cleaning costs down for you and future guests.
*We understand that accidents happen. But we do ask that you please let us know when they do. Chances are we can fix them as effortlessly as possible which also means better chances of having your full security deposit returned too.

Rae was very friendly. Upon arrival she met me at my car and walked me over to where the parking was (across the street), and then she helped carry my stuff in. She then speed me how to unlock the doors, gave me a tour, and showed me all the maps for the city and public transit that she had hung on the wall for guests to look at/use. The room was beautiful and the place was perfect for what I needed. I would definitely stay there again!

Rae's place was very clean and cozy. There was a small mishap when checking in (front door lock was out of batteries) but when we called Rae she came out immediately to open the door and fix the issue, and was very apologetic despite the situation not being her fault! I found the location quite convenient, we mostly took the bus or used Lyft. We never felt unsafe in the neighborhood and after the first day all the locks and everything worked smoothly. We shared the bathroom with a guest staying in the other room, but it wasn't a problem at all and we were always able to use the bathroom and kitchen when we needed to. She also had tea and coffee stocked, which was a nice touch. I also appreciated that Rae's check in and out instructions were very clear. Overall, I would definitely recommend staying at Rae's place —the room was exactly as advertised and Rae was a very communicative and attentive host.

When we arrived, Rae was waiting for us at the AirBnB for check-in. She gave clear instructions on getting into the apartment, room, as well as to the attractions. Central location by Lyft and Uber! Room and toilets were clean and comfortable. Wish we had chips for snacks instead of oatmeal by all was satisfactory :-)

My sister and I stayed at Rae's listing for the weekend. It was a great location because it was close to everything we wanted to do. Lyft was around $3-5. When we arrived Rae greeted us and she had a bulletin board of activities and maps and information. The place was set up with two rooms on the first floor and a bedroom upstairs. There was also a kitchen and bathroom and on the first floor. The bedroom was quite simple and the bed was comfy. The bathroom had a variety of supplies that someone may have forgot like I was running low on tooth paste. I felt very safe in the neighborhood and at Rae's listing. There was a security code to get into the building and into the room. Rae was very flexible and even though my check out was for 11 AM on Sunday, Rae allowed me to keep my belongings until it was time to leave. I could not have imagine a better place to stay! I definitely would come back to stay with Rae next time I am in the DC area.
