The pictures of the apartment are accurate. The tv worked well. Some channels were fuzzy but at least you had a tv to watch if you wanted. This is an inside apartment so you really cannot tell if it is sunny or not outside when you are in the apartment. I thought this would be great to get away from the street noise. You can look out the living room window to see if it's sunny (you have to look up). The apartment has windows but they face another apartment or the building wall. One window in the bedroom where the bed is faces the kitchen of the apartment next to you. You can literally look out the window and see into the next apartment (yes it is that close to each other). The family next door was loud during our stay until about 10pm or 11pm as they gathered in the kitchen to talk and eat. It wasn't a major issue for me but if you are a light sleeper you might want to bring ear plugs. Be sure to ask the host to explain how to use the water tank if you try to turn on the water and nothing comes out. This happened to us on our first day but not having a phone or internet we couldn't ask Lisandra. She told us to ask the neighbor down the hall if we had questions. So I knocked on his door and he showed us how to turn on the water tank so we could take a shower. He speaks limited English but I understand Spanish better than I speak it so communication was fine for me. The water pressure in the bathroom wasn't great. The water in the bathroom seemed to drip all through the night even when the water was turned off. There was rubber bands and some kind of metal piece on the bottom of the shower handles (like the ones used to turn on the bathtub). I think that was what was dripping. At first I was paranoid we didn't shut off the water tank but realized it had nothing to do with the water tank. Be sure to get an overview of how to lock the doors. There is a trick to locking the gate outside the apartment door and opening the front building. I know it seems trivial but each apartment door has its special quirks with opening it. This will save you time trying to get into your apartment when you are tired. While this is a first floor apartment you have to walk up one long flight of stares to get to the apartment. There was a neighbor that offered to help my husband carry our two large bags up the stares but he did it himself to get his workout in. The neighbors in the apartment building and even outside of the apartment are very friendly and helpful. Across from the building there is a bicycle yard where the...

Two big issues: 512 Muralla is NOT the address, so wait until you get an email confirming the real address on Aguacate. This was a problem for us because we couldn't access our email accounts and had limited internet to check the messages in Airbnb after we booked. 2nd thing: water flow sucks. It runs out of water mid-shower. That said, it can be (kinda) fixed with the very helpful Hostess's neighbor Raul who keeps an eye on the place. He's friendly, genuine, and overall a great resource. This is a good budget friendly choice in a highly walkable location.

Thank you so much for tour coments,I'll try to improve some things from my side, the adress problem I can't fix it cause the Airbnb site doesn't allow me to put the Aguacate street on the map, that is way I always send the email with the exact adress; and about the water supply is a city problem, out of my hands...anyway hope you had a good time here!! Best regards

Great location for checking out the city, and excellent air conditioning. Lisandra waited for us at the place when our flight was late and helped us order a taxi to the airport at the end of the trip. She was welcoming and gave plenty of suggestions for what to do. We got food poisoning on our last couple of days in Cuba and Raul (Lisandra's neighbor) went out of his way to make sure we felt better and got home okay. Gracias, Raul y Lisandra!

We loved our stay in Lisandras apartment, so much that we stayed there twice during our trip! The apartment had everything we needed and was located in walking distance to everything you would want to experience in Old Havana. Lisandra answered questions, gave us directions and helped us with what we needed, like booking a taxi when we went to the airport. She was available by phone at all times and very accommodating :) highly recommended!

Bättre än väntat. Vi träffade aldrig Lisandra men hon var väldigt trevlig och hjälpsam när vi pratade på telefon. Hennes granne tog emot oss och mycket hjälpsam och hjälpte oss med allt såsom nycklar med mera. Lägenheten ligger bra i Havanna Vieja. Kanske att gatan kändes lite rough.

The location in Old Havana was perfect for us. Almost equal walking distance to the Capitol or Plaza Vieja. Also within close proximity to the water. It was special staying in a residential neighborhood and talking to the locals. Lisandra's place is immaculate. She also speaks good English and was very willing to answer questions and help us connect with a guide, restaurant reservations, ect. I would stay here again in a minute!
