Our cottage - the Pony House - has great sea views and is private and secluded, while within 80 yards of the main house. It's good for couples or individuals looking for tranquility and peace, with nearby options for hill and beach walking, golf, and scenic drives. It's cosy and compact with a wood burning stove in the comfortable living area, and electric heating in the three bedrooms and the two bathrooms, and is fully equipped.
We are one hour's easy Motorway drive (N11) south of Dublin. There are electronic security gates at the road entrance (the gravelled driveway is 300 metres to the main house and cottage), and the Pony House cottage setting is tranquil and secure, being in the main grounds but private from the main house and outbuildings.
Accès des voyageurs
Guests are free to access all grounds except for the orchard and poly tunnel (viewable on request)...the immediate site extends to 2 1/2 acres and the orchard is planted with heritage apple and other fruit trees and we keep free range hens and geese. We have a pet golden Labrador and two cats.

As we can't currently provide broadband service to Pony House cottage, we'll be happy to give access at the main house for any urgent use. However, if constant internet access is required, this wouldn't be a suitable venue. We will also, of course, be available if any information is needed on local amenities or any other assistance is needed.
Pony House cottage has recently been fully refurbished and equipped. We have plenty of excellent seasoned wood and turf briquettes available for the wood-burning stove that we buy from a local supplier, and are happy to pass them on at cost - Eur5 for a bag of logs, and Eur4 for a bale of briquettes. We regret that we can't currently provide access for wheel chair users (there are some steps) and, although we have a pet dog and two cats, we can't at the moment accommodate guest pets (we plan next year to build a dedicated pet pen/run for visiting pets) as we have free-range hens around the grounds and there are sheep and cattle nearby. There is a separate laundry room with coin-operated washing-machine and dryer.
The cottages at Sheepwalk are in a quiet and peaceful environment so, for the comfort of all guests, we don't accept bookings for groups or visitors attending weddings in the locality. Also, if guests are visiting family or friends in the area we require that any socialising with local family or friends takes place off-site, and no outside visitors are allowed on the property other than by prior agreement with us. We appreciate guests respecting this requirement, which is to ensure that all of our guests enjoy the restful tranquility of the lovely Sheepwalk setting.
