Phil is a friendly host who prepared lovely range of breakfast options for us. Comprehensive ammenties available. Location is near to town if you are driving. Slightly hard to find the right entrance to the accommodation. A truly rustic stay.

Phil is a very passionate person. The place to be honest is not too easy to find but Phil was easily contactable and went out to look for us when we couldn't locate the place. It's a place to immerse yourself in cultural knowledge and to be close to nature. Some work is still going on to build up the area into a venue where people can learn more about aboriginals and how they may assimilate with others. Laura & Phil were very selfless and make sure our needs are attended to and put in every effort to make us feel @ home. Talk to Phil during your stay there and you'll love his passion for the project he has in mind!

Phil's wife met us on the property and she is super nice and helpful. She fed the kookaburras in front of us and was very lovely - explained everything. The room we stayed in was awesome - quiet, really strong air con, comfy bed. The kitchen is well stocked with cereal, milk, bread, tea and coffee - they really thought of everything! However, people who want to book here should be aware that there are many caravans and trailers on the property and what appears to be piles of junk or rubbish - I am fairly sure we saw a bunch of decommissioned bumper cars on the property in a pile...? Had we known this was the case, we would not have booked as we were expecting a rural retreat, and I don't think yards full of caravans and old furniture and junk are really a retreat atmosphere. Also, I didn't feel that charging an extra $15 for another person was good value for money. For that price, we could have just booked a motel with a private bathroom.

This was a true retreat for me from 5 weeks of travel around Australia. I slept better than I ever have, and found the space to be very special. Surrounded by nature on all ends, Phil and Laura made sure every detail was taken care of. The bedroom and bathroom are spotlessly clean and comfy, and the kitchen is too. Wifi is strong, I was able to get some things done online. I arrived to kukobarras and wallabies in the evening, and although I only stayed for 1 night, I look forward to staying again at this gem on my way back through Katherine for another few nights. It is in nature, and there may be a few beautiful creatures around. I highly recommend staying, especially if you're a nature type of person.

Phil and his co-host Laura took very good care of us. The accommodation was clean, and the kitchen was very well equipped to do our own cooking. Good condiments on hand. The kookaburras and wallabies are a real treat. This is a peaceful, if a bit rustic, place.
