My place is a stunning former milking parlour in the grounds of a 13th Century converted tithe barn in the heart of the Vale of Glamorgan, recently restored and refurbished.
You’ll love my place because of the well-equipped and modern kitchen, the cosiness of the wood-burning stove, the peace and quiet of the countryside, but close to Cardiff and surrounding areas. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, families (with kids), big groups, and furry friends (pets).
The cottage is a single-storey building with two conjoining bedrooms (one double room, one with a double bunk bed; great for larger families or groups of friends). Please note that there is no door between the bedrooms. The bunk room leads to a bathroom with spa bath and separate shower and a huge open plan living area with a wood burning stove.
This leads through to the modern gloss kitchen, which is equipped with everything you could need: diswasher, washing machine, integral microwave, oven and grill, two hobs (one induction, one ceramic) and then through to a large dining area, with oak table and chairs (seats 6 but more chairs can be provided, along with a high chair if required).
A sofa bed provides additional sleeping facilities for another two people.
In its own pretty private paved and gravelled terrace garden with brazier, barbecue and al fresco dining area, Glebe Cottage is perfectly situated for countryside tranquillity but within easy reach of South Wales's main tourist attractions.
Well behaved dogs are welcome and the garden is totally secure.
- No smoking inside the cottage please - there is an ashtray provided for those who wish to smoke, in the garden area. Parties or events are allowed, but please be mindful that the owners live across the driveway and noise should be kept to a minimum after 11.30pm
