This depends on the guests' wishes. Some people want to be by themselves and just relax in their rooms and I may not see them. Others want to ask questions or seek advice or seek directions. Some may want to use the kitchen or join me watching tv in the family room. I love having company and I enjoy solitary times as well.
Excursions can be discussed with me. It would be significantly cheaper for me to take six of you to Banff on a custom designed outing than it would be for you to go on a tour. I'd take you to the gondola, to the Banff springs hotel, and around the golf course to spot caribou etc. We'd walk down main street eat beaver tails (a pastry) and depending on the amount you want to spend, eat at a fondue place or somewhere with a view.
If you wanted a safe but adventurous walk I would drive you to Johnsons canyon for a hike to the waterfalls or paint pots.
And that's not even talking about the hot pools or boating on Lake Louise.
If any of you are into thrift store shopping you could hire me and I will happily take you the three best, nicely laid out stores.
You could also hire me as a guide for visiting Drumheller and the renowned Tyrell dinosaur museum. You will still be responsible for buying all your admissions and meals and to pitch in for gas. But we could plan it together so you could pick and choose exactly what you want to do.
I will be your driver but you will be on your own for all your adventures. I will wait for you as long as you need to have the adventure you want at each place you choose.
It's something to consider if you want to see Banff or Drumheller.
***A note about pricing as several people have thought they could put as many people as possible in a room and sleep on the floor. I know some of you are just looking to crash for the night and that's what air bnb is also about.
My rooms rent for $50 a night each. Two people can stay at that price which works out to $25 each per night. If you rent all the rooms the use of the kitchen is included if you bring your own food.
I will welcome you with a happy heart. I can sleep up to ten if necessary and two of the people are little.
No stealing, no over the top partying, no drugs, pets are negotiable, respect the property.
No food or drink in the bedrooms ; you are welcome to use tables provided. Celebrationary use of wine and beer is welcome.
No smoking is allowed, sorry .
After people are heading to bed please turn down loud tv etc. Similarly if you are off hiking at the crack of dawn please be considerate of others' need to sleep some more.
