We had a nice time at the Casita and it was well stocked and clean. We enjoyed hiking through the trails, the superb outdoor grilling in the meadow with amazing mountain views with fall colors. From the house itself, one can see the mountain tops through the window in living room, but it is mostly blocked by the big screen T.V .The location was private and quiet but the casitas are close to each other with some privacy. The casita facing ours was unoccupied, so we had plenty of privacy. In general we had a nice fall vacation there. The maintenance guy Joe was quite helpful. April responded fast to our needs.

This is an AWESOME place to get away from the crowds. Our casita was well kept and had everything we needed. April was a pleasure to deal with both before and during the trip. The property manager Dennis, and the on-site guy, Joe were great to work with also. My wife and her friend brought their horses and really enjoyed all the trails the area has to offer. They have a fenced area to keep your horses nearby.

The resort is a beautiful place to enjoy nature, fresh air, quiet, and incredible alpine views on the drive. We saw two beautiful elks on our way up to the cabin, one entering the forest and one leaving the meadow. There are signs to help you and the coded gate add to the privacy. We stayed in the three bedroom casita which was more like a casa. The casita still had a new feel, and was relaxing. The beds were comfortable . The fireplace was great and we had plenty of wood. There was cable and the internet worked great. I had cell phone service but no regular landline. I would recommend staying at the casita. They are a great value. You can really get away for the weekend. This would be a great place for a retreat.

Amazing host - so sweet and accommodating. April was the best host I could ask for! The Casita and property is absolutely charming! Everything is very clean (probably the most important thing for me) and comfortable. Very secluded in a good way but it is a bit of a trek to town for skiing. I would rather stay here than closer to skiing. My kids loved it. I can't say how beautiful the area and scenery surrounding the cabin - breathtaking! Worth the drive.

I really enjoyed my stay at the casita in Amalia. The property is very secluded and surrounded by endless views of mountains and valleys. Perfect for a group of friends looking to relax and take day trips to Red River and Taos to ski. April was communicative and accommodating, but also just let us enjoy the place on our own - great host! The casita has all of the basic necessities but I recommend picking up groceries and supplies before arriving. If there's snow on the ground you will need 4WD to get to the place. Be sure to walk around the expansive property and take in the views.
