Get the best of old and new Vermont with a stay in an 1860s farmhouse that's been updated to modern expectations. Waterbury Center is close to Stowe, Ben & Jerry's, outdoor activities, and excellent local food and beer. With multiple living areas and four bedrooms, this 2,700-square foot house is a truly comfortable space for your family or group getaway plus the panoramic mountain views will inspire your outdoor adventures.
Enter through the lengthy mud room and French doors into the large open concept area: family room with heated floors, bar counter, and sweeping views of the Worcester Range; dining area with handmade, reclaimed-wood farm table for eight; plus modern chef's kitchen with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and well stocked with all the expected gear, spices, and necessities to cook for a crowd. The front of the main floor is a huge living room with library area, locally-made wood stove with glass front, couch and comfortable seating area, plus cable tv and board games.
Use the front stairs to access a bathroom and three bedrooms: one with queen shaker-style bed, one with a full platform bed, and one with two twin beds. Connect through one bedroom into the master suite bathroom or use the special back staircase into the master suite sitting area/office/nursery (great for byo air mattresses). The master bedroom has a modern four-poster bed with amazing mountain views and a private balcony. All bedrooms have ample closet space and empty drawers for storage.
Outside you can see the mountains from multiple angles, including favorite hiking destinations Stowe Pinnacle, Mt Hunger, and Camel's Hump. Step out from the family room directly to enjoy the back deck with grill, sit on the front porch, or stroll around the large 2-acre yard with fruit trees and classic red barn.

We will not necessarily be close by during your stay but we have friends nearby and are always available for questions and tips.
We do have a cat and while we keep the house very clean and close off one bedroom, this may not be the best option if you are allergic.
This is our family home so please respect it as such. No parties.
