CASA LUNA is located in the historic downtown area next to the Callejon del Beso. This location exemplifies the nostalgia and romance of Guanajuato. The city has an impressive architectural legacy and is venue to some of Mexico’s most celebrated cultural events.

Feel the nostalgia of CASA LUNA!  The house offers more than an ideal location. It offers a retreat to embrace your five senses! Here is a video (URL HIDDEN)

Le logement

As you enter the house you will be welcomed by a colorful water fountain and garden in the front patio. As you explore further inside, you will find original paintings from a well-known artist!

Each of the bedrooms has its own balcony and bathroom with exquisite Mexican tiles. You can have your morning delight coffee at the back patio next to our very traditional Mexican Kitchen or plan your next BBQ in our 1st terrace or simply have a glass of wine on our top terrace allowing you to embrace one of the best views of the city!

The house is fully furnished with original handmade built-in wooden furniture and cabinetry. You will find traditional fired-clay floors, high thread-count sheets, and countless details that we hope you will enjoy!
At El Callejon del Beso (the alley of the kiss), there is a superstition associated with the story of two unfortunate young lovers. When two lovers pass through the Callejon del Beso, they must kiss on the third step to ensure seven years of happiness. Hundreds of people who pass through this narrow place don’t hesitate to do so and hope that the story turns out to be true. It is without a doubt one of the most famous streets in Mexico.
The location of CASA LUNA allows you to enjoy what the city has to offer with in walking distance!! Guanajuato is a delightful Mexican silver mining town, with brightly painted buildings, extravagant religious buildings (The churches of La Compañía and La Valenciana are considered to be among the most beautiful examples of Baroque architecture in Central and South America.) Founded by the Spanish in the early 16th century, Guanajuato became the world's leading silver-extraction center in the 18th century.
The city is best known for the highly acclaimed annual international arts festival, Festival Cervantino. This colorful and lively place holds center stage all year long. Much of the youthful vibrancy and prolific cultural activities – callejoneadas, films, theater and orchestras – can be attributed to the 20,000 students of the city's own University of Guanajuato.

This house is amazing. It was centrally located near everything we wanted to do and see un Guanajuato. The walk to and from the house made sure we burned off calories from all the fabulous food we ate!! We loved the different levels in the house and took advantage of the amazing rooftop deck for a glass of wine and to watch the sunset... We would absolutely stay here again. The hosts were attentive and in great communication with us as needed...

La casa está impresionante, la decoración muy acorde a Guanajuato, muy céntrica y cómoda, caminando puedes conocer la mayoría de los puntos turísticos y tiene el callejón del beso a un lado. 100 % recomendable, regresare pronto.

Casa Luna is in an excellent location. You can come and go from the house easily to get some needed rest from walking up and down the beautiful cobblestone streets. If in Guanajuato again, we would look into Casa Luna's availability. The hosts were great at communicating and readily available and provided excellent guidance for our driver at our drop off. If staying with a group, there are plenty of outdoor and indoor spaces to have some down time. The views from the roof top were postcard worthy! The kitchen was well equipped with the essentials!

In a word — perfect! We've stayed at many airbnb's and Casa Luna was the best so far. The entire place is beautiful and the view is breathtaking. There are thoughtful and generous details throughout the entire place. Nancy and Sandra were delightful to communicate and coordinate with. The internet connection is great, the kitchen has all the appliances, utensils and dishes we needed to prepare drinks and meals, there was more purified water than we needed for our stay — we just can't say enough good things. We'll definitely stay at Casa Luna again if we come back to Guanajuato!
