We had a wonderful stay with Paddy and Mark, who have been so very generous and welcoming to us. A true home away from home. They have such wealth of knowledge about Harare and surroundings, which made for many interesting stories. Their house is steeped in history, located on a beautifully laid out property in a quiet part of town, whilst still ideally located close to amenities. Beds were comfortable with virtually new mattresses and electricity and Internet were available all the time, which cannot normally be taken for granted in Harare. We look forward to our next stay.

Stay as expected for the price. Paddy and Mark were helpful with suggestions of what to do and helped confirmed bus timetables etc. I was made to feel welcome at all times.

Amazing! It's just like home away from home. Mama paddy & her husband are so kind. Two rooms for such money tells me the couple just have a big heart and they want to share their beautiful home with travellers like me. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Harare.

A beautiful house in a beautiful setting with such friendly hosts. I loved staying here and felt like a member of the family / old friend by the end of my stay. The family had a brai in the back garden with friends round and was great to meet so many friendly people. The family even picked me up from the airport and really made me feel at home. Would love to return.

I am that rare beast, a white Zimbabwean (2nd generation), born and brought up in this country and staying here for the long haul, no matter how silly the country gets. Why am I staying? Three reasons. 1. I am a teacher of over 40 years of experience across an eccentrically broad spectrum and there is so much for me to do educationally in Zimbabwe and no one telling me I am too old to do it. 2. I love the Zimbabwean bush with a passion - and have recently qualified as a a safari guide so that I have a formal reason for helping other people to fall in love with the bush. 3. This is my home.
I have 3 grown-up sons - only one in Zimbabwe.
What am I like as a host? According to my sons laid-back and motherly.
Life motto? I'm sure we can make a plan - cheating because that is the motto of all Zimbabweans.
