Two fantastic ski resorts are minutes away offering downhill or X-country skiing. Take a stroll in the rolling hills of Horseshoe Valley or ride your mountain bike along the trails. Horseshoe Valley has just opened Lake Horseshoe.
Lake Horseshoe man-made lake at the base of the ski hill. The new lake brings swimming, a sandy beach and waterfront activities to the resort.
Lake Horseshoe will be beneficial to the resort all year round, adding 12 million gallons of water for snowmaking in the winter season. The additional water source will double the snowmaking capacity for the resort and is the first phase in a 5 million dollar snowmaking improvement plan.
Lake Horseshoe is FREE for community members and you can rent stand up paddle boards and kayaks.

The chalet has 2 queen beds, 2 single beds and 1 pull out couch down stairs, all have their own bathrooms!

- 1.Rental includes exclusive use of the rental property for the period specified in this Agreement for recreational purposes only. No commercial, illegal, or other activity shall be carried on at the property. The Renters may not sublet or assign this rental agreement. Renters shall abide with all local by-laws and ensure that adjacent property owners or renters shall have the quiet enjoyment of their properties. 2.The maximum number of occupants using the chalet premises shall not exceed the total number stated on this Rental Application form. 3.No smoking is allowed in the chalet. If smoking outside, renters are to place all butts in ash can ONLY. No butts to be thrown in yard. 4.No pets are allowed on the property. 5.Parking for a maximum of one car is available on the driveway. The Renters are to park their vehicle(s) on the centre parking area as designated. No parking is permitted on the roadway, grass, lawn or front of the house. 6.The cottage comes equipped with: fridge, stove, washer, dryer, microwave, TV, internet, DVD player, coffee maker, toaster, toaster oven, dishes, glasses, cutlery, pots/pans, and general kitchenware, outside furniture, dining set plus umbrella, patio chairs, a propane BBQ among other items. These items are expected to be in working order upon termination of this Agreement. Any damage to these items may result in forfeiture of your deposit. 7.There is no phone at the cottage. Renters are strongly advised to bring along a cell phone in case they need to make an emergency call. 8.The cottage is equipped with beds, linens, pillowcases and blankets. These must be returned at the end of the stay. 9.The Owner does not warrant or guarantee the quality of the chalet. The Renters acknowledge that the use of the property is entirely at the Renters own risk. The Renters shall indemnify and hold harmless the Owners against and from any and all expenses, costs, damages, suits, actions or liabilities arising from their actions or the actions of their guests and any and all loss of or damage to personal property, injury, personal condition or death resulting from the use of the rental property. 10. The Renters are responsible for all damages caused by any member of their party, or their visitors or guests, even to the extent that these damages may exceed the Security Deposit provided. The Renters shall be liable for any damage done by reason of water being left running from taps on the property or improper use of appliances or equipment provided on premises. No fire pits or outdoor fires of any kind are permitted. Do not leave pots or pans on burners after use. No skis or snowboards to be brought into the cottage other than basement area if required. 11. In the event of a power failure Renters are to immediately turn off the oven and all stove burners in order to prevent fire safely issues when the power comes back on. 12. If any provisions of this agreement are invalid, such provisions shall be considered separate and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. 13.Upon arriving at the chalet, Renters are to familiarize themselves with the chalet and its amenities. If anything is missing, damaged or not working, of if the chalet has not been left in an appropriate state of cleanliness they are to contact the Owners immediately. 14. Renters agree to keep the cottage and all furniture, fixtures, chattels, fittings and effects in/or about the cottage in the same state of repair and condition in which they found them upon arrival. No cottage furniture, equipment, appliances, or other chattels belonging to the Owners shall be removed from the chalet. 15.Departure Checklist a.All dishes, glasses, cutlery, pots and utensils thoroughly cleaned and returned to kitchen cabinets/drawers. b.Fridge, freezer and cupboards to be emptied of all foodstuffs. c.All furniture, bedding, pillows, and accessories to be returned to their original locations d.All garbage and re-cycling to be put out in appropriate bins across the street. Failure to follow these garbage instructions will result in a fee of $50 being deducted from your damage deposit. e.All lights turned off. f.All blinds and drapes closed, two fireplaces off and all doors and windows closed and locked with both sets of keys secure and inside the lockbox. Failure to complete these instructions will result in a fee of $100.
