The apartment is large and well-furnished, situated in the picturesque mountain town of Azrou, convenient from both Fes and Meknes. It's a sleepy town, but friendly and not very touristic. There are great shops in the beautiful old medina (carpets are a specialty), an artisinal center, and lots of great restaurants and cafes. It's also a great home base for hiking trips, or for visiting the nearby Ifrane national park.
The apartment is located above the family home of Ali and Nadia, who will be your hosts. It is simple but cozy, and the family is extremely hospitable. It's nice and cool in the summer, and in the winter there is a wood stove downstairs (as well as a traditional hammam on the roof terrace). The terrace also has a swing and a lovely plant garden.

Ali speaks some French and English. Nadia speaks only Arabic, but is always able to make herself understood, somehow.
Like most houses in Azrou, there is no hot water heater, but water can be heated in an electric kettle as necessary. The toilet and shower are traditional, as is the wood-powered communal bath on the terrace. If you do not feel comfortable with a traditional (squat) toilet, there is a flush toilet available by the front door for use.
