Great jumping off point for driving through the White Mountains. The beds were very comfortable and the house was such a neat layout. Everything was clean and really great water pressure in the shower which we loved! Thanks for hosting us! Sandy also gave good tips about what to see and gave us updates about the leaves.
Sandy has a beautiful home and we had a pleasant stay. This home is quite centrally located with drivable distance to Conway, White Mountains, Portland and Long Lake. The house is perfect for a small family of 3 or 4 members and Sandy has beautiful horses which was a treat and my daughter just loved them.
Sandy and Terri are gracious hosts and their place is just perfect for a relaxing vacation in Maine. You can walk to the beach on either Long Lake or Crystal Lake, Bridgton is a short drive where there is great shopping and dining. A 45 minute scenic drive gets you to North Conway or you can easily get to Bethel - both areas have hiking or skiing. Shawnee Peak is even closer. The place is cozy, clean (the mattress is awesome!) and comfortable. A perfect stay! Thank you, Sandy and Terri!
We found just what we were looking for in a weekend getaway in a beautiful town. It's a healthy walk to downtown Bridgeton, but a lovely one and it whetted my appetite for the great restaurants there. Sandy was more that hospitable and answered all of my questions right away. It's an older home so wonderfully soundproof, more than one T.V. and a bright atmosphere. The fields and pastures around the house are beautiful. The rooms are large and beautifully furnished, clean and quiet. The area is rustic residential, not right downtown and not on the lake. But all of those things are minute(s) away.
This is indeed a gem; anyone traveling to Bridgton - especially Bridgton Academy- needs to look at Brown Hill Farm. One minute from the academy- a real find for me as I had a Board of Trustee meeting this week and was lucky to find accommodations for the night needed. Sandy was a gracious and informative host- highly recommend. Two bedrooms, private bath, living room and fully equipped kitchen. What more is needed- nothing.
Sandy is an excellent, kind and considerate hostess, and the accommodations are spotlessly clean, comfortable, very well decorated and essentially flawless. Sandy apologized profusely because the new mattresses, although promised weeks before, had not been delivered. Those already in place were more than adequate. Bridgton is a very pretty town with a lot of charm and several excellent restaurants. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.
