Cute historic place in central San Telmo; the old but lively heart of Buenos Aires. A comfty, well equipped and charming retreat in the middle of the city.
In lunfardo dialect, a 'Bulín' is a small personal sanctuary outside home where you can find freedom, comfort and the opportunity to explore yourself and the city. Often associated with romantic purposes, we've taken that idea one step further to offer you a unique place to stay in BA; one that doesn't feel like a soulless rented chamber but more like a cool place lent by a good porteño friend : )
Accès des voyageurs
The Bulín is on the 1st floor, so you have to take either the stairs or a 5 seconds elevator ride.
Once there, you'll find a homey living room connected to the kitchen by an open countertop, great for breakfast feasts and cooking time conversation. Smart TV with Netflix, Wifi connection, and Bluetooth/CD sound system are all included. Also, the vintage steel bed that shines as a sofa can be turned into 2 twin beds if needed ; )
The kitchen is quite small but, unless you're Nigella, you'll find everything you need to cook or prepare a snack. We always have tea/coffee and something sweet when you check-in, so nobody has to run to the market early in the morning! :P Afterwards, you can buy whatever you prefer.
The bedroom is restful and large, with space for a king size bed, a desk, and big closets to keep your S(tuff) together.
The bathroom is white and simple... but if you fill the bathtub and pour in a handful of salts, you might not set foot in the rest of Buenos Aires.
All rooms have windows and light. There's always this amazing breeze! Otherwise, there are also 2 AC so you don't have to worry about the temperature.
You can make use of everything you find in the Bulín. EVERYTHING. Doesn't matter if it's the hair dryer, the spices, or the antique glassware; you just have to respect/take good care of it. If something gets broken please let us know, so we can replace it or start crying asap.
Small pets are welcome, as long as they don't ruin our belongings! Don't let that tiny bastard pee or chew anything, unless you want to awake the fury of Pascualina (our lady dachshund) ♡
Échanges avec les voyageurs
We live nearby, so we'll definitely be in touch if you need anything (extra blankets, borrow our bike, local advice). Feel free to contact us via phone or chat if you feel we can improve your staying in any way!
The bedroom is for two, so the apartment is perfect for couples and single people. But the vintage bed in the living room hides 2 extra twin beds than can be used whenever it's needed.
Regular check-in times are between 3pm and 8pm; but if you're arriving late we can make it work, as long as you let us know in advance.
There is a phone for local calls, so you can make reservations, order pizza or book a cab. We also give you a local chip for your cell phone; you can top it up in any drugstore buying just the credit you will use.
On the other hand, we provide you with a SUBE card you will need to take the bus, train or subway. You'll appreciate it when you're hanging around.
Tap water is safe (some say it tastes funny, but you can drink it)
There are universal adaptors, smart TV, sound system, 2 AC, microwave, kitchen with stove, blender, coffee maker, hair dryer, hair straightener, clothes iron, vacuum cleaner, sewing kit, towels, linens, and plenty of the things we've all got in every house. Enjoy them.
- You gotta clean and put back everything in place; we will wash the sheets, towels, etc, but not the dishes!
- Frying and greasy-cooking are not allowed; guests are free to eat anything they please, but the rest of the world don't have to smell it for decades! ( plus, BA is brimming with 'parrillitas' and old-school restaurants where meat, eggs, and oily pleasures fill the menu. Enjoy them ; )
- If something gets lost or ruined, we expect you to let us know asap. If its too serious, you may have to pay for it or replace it. Anyway, it's always better to take care of everything in advance.
- Please make use of the Bulín with kindness and responsibility! Thanks : )
Hi! We’re Fernando & Maxi from Buenos Aires, we work in communication and design.
Travelling is our passion and we like to stay in real houses, get in touch with the people, explore the culture and life of each destination. Therefore, our new challenge is offering BA’s visitors a similar experience: the chance to discover and fall in love with the city we call home.
