Nestling under the watchful eye of the Helderberg Mountain, Chez Cloetenberg is set in a tranquil neighbourhood of Somerset West. She offers three large bedrooms all with en suite bathrooms; downstairs is a spacious lounge in which you can relax with a book or even full DSTV television. Chez Cloetenberg is a real home from home; you will be welcomed by hosts, Richard and Denise, along with Tiggs and Izzy, our Labradors, who are very much part of Chez Cloetenberg.
Our Camphor Room is on the ground floor, looking out under the Camphor tree branches. Cinnamomum camphora is the Latin name and this area is known for the famous Camphor trees at Vergelegen Estate, believed to have been planted in 1700 by Willem Adriaan van der Stel.
The large Camphor Room can be a twin or king size double bed, both of which are extra length. The stylish décor of the bedroom is contrasted by the modern, cement finish bathroom with a huge walk in shower. As you lie in bed, you look out under the branches, down Cloetenberg Avenue, imagining the old ox wagons trundling up the wide avenue. Tea/coffee making facilities are on hand and there is WiFi available in the room.
