Quite, private, sunny and tranquil bedroom in a comfortably decorated, classic New York City brownstone in a historically designated section of Harlem. Truly one of the most beautiful blocks in the area, convenient to all major subway lines and Metro North. Three stops to Grand Central, four stops to Times Square, five to Penn Station. 10 blocks from Central Park, surrounded by famous Harlem churches and near to other Harlem destinations.
You will have a private bedroom on the parlor floor of a classic NYC Brownstone. The parlor floor is the best - not only do you have the highest ceilings, you are only one small flight of steps from the street.
The street is a small, tree lined and ends at a park. The apartment is quiet and pretty with a view of trees and the beautiful block in the front and gardens and courtyards in the back. The bedroom itself is off the street in the back of the building and overlooks those gardens and courtyards. You can hear birds chirping and even hear crickets in the summer.
Please note, you will be sharing the apartment (and the bathroom) with me and my cat.

I am happy to provide tips on how to get around, what to do, where to go, etc... How often I am in the apartment depends on my schedule that week. I work from home part of the week, have a social life, keep varied hours.
If there is anything I can do to make your stay easier, just let me know.
There is a kitty litter box in the small shared bathroom. It is cleaned everyday and any litter that gets tracked out of box, gets swept up as often as possible. Please keep the door to the bathroom open when not in use so the cat can do her thing.
Two lovely ladies come every other Thursday at 11:30 to clean the apartment. Please try to make your room available for them to do a quick dusting, vacuum and mop the floors. They clean the entire apartment in about 2 hours.
They are currently on a June 1, June 15, June 29, July 13, etc...
It is a dirty world out there, so I don’t wear shoes in my home, so please kindly remove yours.
I have one cat that also uses the bathroom, so please be sure to keep the bathroom door open when not in use. She needs access to do her thing.
Beyond the shoe and bathroom door thing, if you don’t smoke cigarettes in the place, spill red wine on my furniture, drink my good wine, or God forbid, spill my good wine on my furniture, we are good, so make yourself at home.
The apartment door key is expensive to replace as it is a security key (meaning you just can't go out and get it duplicated without the security card). Please take care not to lose the keys provided and return them when you leave. If they are lost or not returned, I will have to pay to get the lock rekeyed and then replace all my spares. That would be $250 that I would have to pass along to you.
And one last thing... Please, please do not bother the neighbors in the building. They do not have keys, cannot get you into the apartment, nor do they have any way to contact me. I most sincerely thank you in advance.
