I will meet you at the apartment to hand off keys and go over the basics of the unit.
Hi - I'm from the southern United States, sans accent. I never really developed a twang. It usually comes out when I visit home, but my relatives still accuse me of talking like a Northerner. They wonder if I've secretly turned into one of them.
I prefer warm weather locations and a relaxed pace of life. I enjoy running outside, riding my bike, backyard barbecues, and watching baseball (I know, I know, it's like watching grass grow, but it's the American pastime). I have a soft spot for astronomy and all things scientific. It counter-balances my liberal arts education. I've also gotten into bikram yoga, and go several times each week.
I've retained an appreciation for good manners (opening doors, pulling out seats, "yes ma'am, no ma'am" etc.), so you'll get a very courteous house-guest/host. That's just how my brother and I were raised. Thanks mom and dad.
I'm always up for an event, movie, concert, or even a road trip. But sitting on a patio or rooftop to watch the sunset sounds great as well. My travel schedule is usually a mix of planned events and play-it-by-ear decisions. I'll eat pretty much anything, and don't suffer from any food allergies. My ideal meal is a home-cooked spread with lots of people sharing the experience.
