The Lodgepole Overlook is a single family home located in the Peak 7 neighborhood which offers a forested and private escape from the hustle and bustle of the ski area and downtown Breckenridge. Your private room is located on the lower level and features two sets of bunk beds... and a large private dual vanity bathroom. Full access to the homes living areas and kitchen is included. Use of our snowshoes and kids sleds are also available for our guests.
Our home is located on the north side of Breckenridge below Peaks 6 and 7 in a heavily forested community of single family homes on 1/2 acre lots. We built this home in 2000 as a labor of love and decorated it in a casual mountain motif style.
The bunk room is on the lower level of the home and is quite roomy even with a twin over full... and twin over twin bunks. The attached private bath features dual vanities, a jetted tub, and separated shower and toilet facilities.

Guests are free to use the kitchen, dining, and living room areas of chalet... so please make yourself at home. The fireplace is woodburning... but because it is a highly efficient EPA class II appliance... it is a little bit different to operate as compared to a traditional fireplace. We would be happy to explain its operation if you would like to use it.
On the lower level... as you exit the bunk room... there is a comfortable shared space with a large sectional sofa with access to a 60" TV, Sony Playstation 3, and a small selection of DVD's (Netflix and Amazon Prime are available on the TV). There is even Karaoke in the room... but please ask in advance so I can set it up.
Our home backs to the Arapaho National forest... which makes it quite private. Guests are free to use our snowshoes and sleds... but please return them to the shed when finished... otherwise we may not find them until spring. There are bush-wacking trails out the back door of the home... with more well traveled trails within a 1/2 mile of the home.

We've been in the Breckenridge area for over 16 years now... and we would be happy to discuss activities, restaurants, resorts, trails, snowmobiling, hiking, 14er's, events, and most likely anything else you have an interest in. We really enjoy helping our guests to have the best time... and create the best memories possible.
Our home is on a very well maintained county road. In the event of snow... the county plows the road early in the morning. We recommend that guests have 4WD, AWD, or a 2WD car with snow tires. If snow is not in the forecast... you should not have issues with a 2WD car on newer all season tires.
Please remove shoes as you enter the home to prevent water damage from melting snow on our wide-plank pine floors. Also... please do not wear ski boots past the entryway.
When using the common areas (kitchen, dining, and living rooms)... please clean up after yourself when finished. The small cleaning fee does not cover these areas. If using the Kitchen to cook, please leave it the way you found it. All dishes, drinkware, and utensils can be placed in the dishwasher, but pots and pans should be hand washed to prevent discoloring. Other cookware are to be either put into the dishwasher or hand washed and put away. Counters and all cooking surfaces are to be wiped down and cleaned as well. Cleaning supplies are under the sink.
Please feel free to use our fridge to keep food Items.
Please store skis and snowboards either outside, or in the shed.
We hope our guests will treat our home just as they would their own.
We do not allow pets or smoking.
