We just returned from an amazing week at Doug's awesome condo. It's in a beautiful location that is convenient to everything and it has a fantastic little reef right out back for easy snorkeling or diving. The sea life is plentiful, we saw so much like huge parrotfish, flounder, an eel, stingrays, barracuda, snapper and an octopus searching for his dinner on our evening swims. We really enjoyed sitting on the beach, watching the amazing sunsets and chatting with the locals, who were out with their sweet dogs.(Lola the lab, Mazie the mutt and Diesel the husky). We loved watching the cruise ships come in and out of port, all the action with none of the noise.
I hate to say anymore as I want it to be available for my next trip to Cayman. But I will share a few hints, the curtains in the condo are separate panels, I suggest you bring a few clothes pins 8-10 if you want them to stay closed. The condo has added lights everywhere and the condo bedrooms are extremely bright at night, so if this is a problem for you, bring a sleep mask.
We were there 9 days and ate all over the island, the food is a fantastic mix of Island fusion. Some of the places we enjoyed were Peppers, Da Fish Shack, Chicken Chicken, Al La Kebab, Sunshine Grill, Macabuca, Rackam's, Vivine's Kitchen, The Captain's Bakery and Kaibo Beach. Remember the tap water is good, so don't waste your money on the bottled stuff, just bring along your own reusable water bottle for your trips. And rent a car, they are not that expensive and there are so many fantastic places on the island to see. Start with the Observatory Tower in the Camana Bay shops, take the elevator up and walk down for the full view. And finally Kirk Grocery store charges for bags, so bring your own and they have recycling bins in their parking lot for plastic, glass, paper and metals.
Have an awesome time, we did!!!
