The Farmhouse at Brightwood Vineyard and Farm is 35 miles north of Charlottesville and 15 miles south of Culpeper, near many wonderful historic Virginia sites, wineries, and the Shenandoah National Park.
The Farmhouse is located at our primary, certified organic vegetable production site. We invite you to join us for morning animal feeding, hike the woods trails and pastures and watch blue birds at our 100 acre home farm 2 miles away. Join us for vegetable tending or berry picking in season.
Check with Susan for our work schedule during your stay; we feed the animals every morning and there are usually other farm chores that guests of all ages can help with. We grow organic vegetables year-round and have livestock (cows, donkeys, chickens, sheep, ducks and geese), so there is always something going on! New for 2017, we offer personalized instruction in homesteading skills (sourdough bread making, cheese making, year-round vegetable growing, vegetable canning, animal husbandry) for an extra fee.
