November and April are prime time to view migration of songbirds and raptors. November through April are excellent times to visit this area and watch birds. Throughout the year there are over 30 species of birds known as Rio Grande Valley Specialties because they usually cannot be found any where else in the US. They are more commonly found in Central and South America. Over 510 species of birds have been documented throughout the years at Bentsen Rio Grande State Park, only 2 miles away.
This house is in a park that is restricted to guests who are 55 years or older. No cleaning fee is required if you leave the place as clean as when you entered it. There is an extra charge for pets. I am a retired teacher with a great love of teaching and birding. I have been leading bird tours in Texas and Georgia for over 5 years. My husband and I have lived in our fifth wheel travel trailer since 2006. We live in Maine in the summer, Georgia in spring and fall, and Texas in the winter.
