Our clean and cozy apartment has everything you need! We are just a few blocks from the Mississippi River in the centrally located Seward Neighborhood. Family friendly. Rate is limited to 4 adults, no additional fee for kids.
Bright, private, open lay-out, upper duplex unit in friendly neighborhood. We just use this space for an airbnb, so it's not cluttered with our personal belonging. Steps to the Mississippi River walking/running paths, bike trails, and off-road hiking trails. Many quality bars, restaurants, and cafes within walking distance.
2 blocks from a children's playground/kiddie pool and large open field space.
The apartment is the second story of a tall duplex, allowing for a sense of privacy without having to draw the curtains. The flow pattern between rooms is open, and natural.

Owner's Aaron, Leah, and their 2 children live in the lower unit. They are available to help you during your stay if you find the need. Otherwise, paths may cross coming and going in the front yard.
General Points (in alphabetical order):
Bed. The bed is queen-sized, and includes a comfortable 20" depth pillow-top mattress.
Bicycling. Minneapolis and St. Paul have been voted in the top 3 cities for bicycling for many years running, and trails continue to be added. It's a very efficient way to maneuver the City, especially from this starting location. A bike (Blue Specialized on the porch), and bike lock is available for your use. We ask that the bike does not remain outside overnight.
The City also runs a City-wide bike share/rental program (pick-up and drop-off at any station throughout the City) with the nearest pick-up station located a couple blocks away, in front of the Birchwood Café at 3311 East 25th Street, Minneapolis.
There is a great trails system called the Grand Rounds, which takes you around some of the coolest natural parts of the City (Along the Mississippi River, Minnehaha Falls Waterfall, Lake Harriett, Lake Calhoun, Lake of the Isles). The Greenway Trail is located a few blocks over and is part of the Grand Rounds. The Greenway offers a direct route to the Uptown area.
Candles. You will notice candles and matches available in the unit. We ask that you put out the flame when done using. Please do not leave burning while sleeping, or while away from the property.
Cleaning supplies. Earth and people friendly 7th Generation cleaning products used and vinegar. Unscented 7th Generation laundry detergent used.
Coffee. A Keurig coffeemaker with K-cups is provided for your use. An instruction card is located under the appliance. Should you want to make larger amounts of coffee, a coffee maker is located in the furthest left, lower kitchen cabinet.
Fan. A fan is available, and is located on the shelf in the back hall off the kitchen.
Fire Extinguisher. A fire extinguisher is located under the sink.
Forget something? We have many personal/incidental items stocked in the bathroom. Should you need something else, there is a Walgreens located at 3207 East Lake Street, Minneapolis; or a Target Store located at 2500 East Lake Street, Minneapolis.
Games. We have several games available, which are stored in the hutch that the TV rests on. Scrabble, Bananagrams, Computer Chess (1 or two players).
Groceries. The Longfellow Market is a newer, family-owned, full grocery store located at 3815 East Lake Street, Minneapolis, which is approx 5 blocks away. The Seward Co-op (voted best natural food store in the Twin Cities) is located at 2823 East Franklin Ave, Minneapolis, which is approx 15 blocks away.
Hiking. The Mighty Mississippi River is located two blocks away (due east down 26th street) and has a great trail system on both sides. Stay up on top where the paved trails are located, or head down toward one of the off-road trails to explore the River Bottoms.
Hospital. We certainly hope it's not necessary, but the closest hospital / emergency room is the University of MN Fairview Medical Center, located at 2312 South 6th Street, Minneapolis.
Ironing clothing. A free-standing ironing board and iron are located in the bedroom closet.
Kids. Kids are welcome to stay! We have eating utensils, plates and bowls specific to kiddos. Also, feel free to ask us about fun activities to do with kids in the area.
Kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped with pots, pans, plates, bowls, cups, blender, tea pot, and a plethora of cooking/eating utensils. Refrigerator and gas stove/range are also available for your use.
Laundry. The Seward Laundromat is located a couple blocks away at 3332 East 25th Street, Minneapolis (across the street from Birchwood Cafe). Dry cleaning and laundry services are available at Viking Laundromat located at 3627 East Lake Street, Minneapolis.
Light Rail Transit. The Twin Cities light rail system can be an effective method of getting around to certain parts of the city. There is a station located at crossing of Lake Street and Hiawatha Ave (approx 12 blocks). The light rail is definitely the way to go to get the Mall of America if you don't have access to a car. Its also a great way to get to a downtown sporting event.
Luggage stand. One luggage stand is set-up in the bedroom. A second luggage stand is available for use, and is stored in the bedroom closet.
Microwave. Available for your use.
Music. An iPod docking station is provided for your use. An adapter is also available to play music stored on your iPhone.
Noise Machine. The alarm clock next to bed has a noise function to generate soothing sounds to fall asleep to.
Park. Brackett Park is located 2 blocks away. Walk down 26th Street toward river, and take a right onto 38th Ave and walk to the end. Go through the tunnel that runs under the Greenway Bike Path and you end up in the park. Playground equipment, baseball fields, tennis courts, and a skate park are available.
Parking. Street parking is available and abundant on this block.
Pets. Please, no pets on the property.
Pharmacy. A full service Walgreens store is located close at 3207 East Lake Street, Minneapolis.
Plants. We do have plants in the apartment, and may ask for your help watering them if you are an extended-stay guest.
Porch. Its a 3-season porch, great for sipping morning coffee, or watching a nighttime thunderstorm.
Restaurants. There are quite a few options in the immediate area so we developed a separate “Restaurant" card, which is available upon arrival. Yelp is also great resource for restaurants in, and out of the immediate area.
Roku. A Roku TV streaming device is installed/available to access your content provider accounts; Netflix, Hulu, etc. Please note the “TV source" must be set to HDMI2 to watch through Roku.
Smoking. Please, no smoking on the property.
Sofa sleeper. The couch in the living room folds out into a full size air mattress bed.
Television. The 40" flatscreen HD TV includes local channels plus access to your content accounts through a Roku device.
Thermostat. It's located on the wall above the eat-in kitchen-counter. You control the temperature for the apartment.
Trays. There are 2 decorative gold serving trays (1 on ottoman and the other in the kitchen) provided to offer a flat surface should you want to eat while sitting on couch or chair to watch TV.
Umbrella. We hope it does not rain during your stay, but if it does, an umbrella is available for you use.
Walk-in Clinic. There is a walk-in medical clinic (like a Minute Clinic) in the Walgreens located at 3207 East Lake Street, Minneapolis.
Working-out. The YWCA facility (complete with work-out equipment, pool, gymnasium, etc) is located at 2121 East Lake Street, Minneapolis. Daily passes are available.
WiFi. WiFi is provided. The network and password are available when you arrive.
Yoga. Big River Yoga Studio is located a couple blocks away at 3336 East 25th Street, Minneapolis (across from Birchwood Café).
Common Ground Meditation Center is down the street, they offer mindful yoga as well as meditation practice. All programs are offered freely in the spirit of generosity. Access their calender online.
Please, no smoking or vaping anywhere on property.
Pets are not allowed. Please know that children live below and be considerate. Definitely, not a place to throw a party. Listing price is for 4 adults. Additional adults will cost $30 extra per night. No additional cost for children.
