Enjoy your visit to Boulder (Gunbarrel neighborhood) in this unique sunroom, bedroom, and large bathroom suite complete with a hot tub, eating area, and Japanese style bathroom. The suite is decorated with the owner's origami sculpture pieces. I will give you as much privacy as you like since you have your own entrance and key.
Because of the large hot tub and the deep soaking tub, children are not recommended to stay here. From the suite and the back deck, you can hear and see traffic from Lookout Road, and sometimes hear the train going along the Diagonal Highway. This neighborhood is growing with more breweries, coffee shops and restaurants. There is a friendly cat who resides in the house and is supposed to stay out of the guest suite but will be curious to meet you. If you don't want the cat to come near you, use the small spray bottle (filled with water) labeled "CAT GO AWAY". She hates water.
Don't leave food outside. I've seen coyotes, foxes, raccoons, and prairie dogs in the area. Note added 9/17: A bear and a mountain lion have also been reported recently in the neighborhood!
- Be mindful of people sleeping in the basement below your bedroom/bathroom. (Avoid late night activity please.)
- No marijuana smoking because the smoke leaves an odor in the house.
- Please shower before using the hot tub to keep the water clean.
- Save electricity by turning off lights, hot tub, and coffee pot when not in use.

I'm a native of Boulder, CO and have also enjoyed traveling to Europe, Asia and Africa. I speak English, Japanese, and a little bit of French and Indonesian. I've been very lucky to have lived in several different countries (Japan, Romania, the Netherlands, and Indonesia), learned a lot about the local culture, food and people. I graduated from the University of Colorado and Columbia University in NYC. I inherited my love of travel from my parents who immigrated from Japan and took me and my siblings on many overseas adventures. Some books I've recently enjoyed are: Anansi Boys, Winter's Bone, The Devotion of Suspect X, and All The Light We Cannot See. I'm also trying my hand in writing and translating and have gotten a few things published. (memoir titled: Tei, a memoir of the end of war and beginning of peace, and short story: Robert and Gracein Eastlit
