Hospitality was amazing! Only downside is no cable tv but wifi was more then enough. Close to downtown and very spacious!

We were so comfortable. Great room to lounge. The bed slept great. The back yard was an oasis. Enjoyed fresh basil from Donna's garden. Air conditioner was great. Wifi worked well - we had 6 devices running at one time. TV is local channels only, but with our devices, we didn't miss a game! Look forward to staying again!

David and Donna greeted us with a cute handwritten welcome note on the front steps and one inside. The carriage house is adorable. Such character, so quaint yet just the right amount of amenities. The kitchen was stocked with coffee, juice, water, milk, cereal and even breakfast biscuits. Great location near MTSU. Would definitely come back again.

David and Donna’s guesthouse was great for our crowd. We arrived much later than planned due to eclipse gawker traffic (which we were), and David was ready and waiting for us. We were warmly greeted and efficiently given a quick tour with an opportunity to ask questions. The place is located in a quiet neighborhood and we felt very safe during our short stay. Our car was parked within a gated driveway; the guesthouse is inside a second gate where there is an inground swimming pool. We didn’t sneak a midnight swim, but this may be why the place may not be suitable for children younger than 12 years of age. The refrigerator was well stocked with healthy juices, milk for morning breakfast cereal and coffee, perfectly ripe bananas, and authentic “Tennessee Pride” frozen sausage and biscuits. There were also pre-packaged quick oatmeal mixes, and chocolatey bars for a late-night snack! This is a historic, aka OLD house. It is not a modern five-star hotel. It was clean and quirky, just as old places are. There were few electrical outlets but enough for all of us to charge our computers and phones. The few spiders we saw we let be—they eat the things that bug us. Things to watch for: The guesthouse is over a garage, so there are stairs to contend with. This was not a problem with our group. The friends traveling with us have whole-house air conditioning. (Personally, we don’t.) There are three window ACs in the guesthouse, one in each bedroom, and one in the living room. These window units kept the house comfortable during our stay (90+ degrees and humid during the daytime), but the friends were not used to the sound of a running AC in their bedroom and it kept awakening them at night. I actually like the white noise of a fan to mask noises, so personal preference varies. The bathroom is entered by cutting through one of the bedrooms. We’re friends, so it did not spook me to have them cut through our bedroom for early morning potty stops. If you aren’t such close friends this night-time traffic might be unwelcome. We could have used a few more pillows with five people, but we had some in the car. Looking for an Airbnb close to the solar eclipse totality line was difficult. One person decided she wanted more people and more money than listed online—profiteering over the event. Others just never responded. David and Donna quickly replied, did not jack up the price on us, and provided a great value in their house. Were I to be in Murfreesboro again I would definitely stay here again. I recommend their guesthouse for your stay, acknowledging the little things that might bug some people.
