Cozy, comfy knotty pine cabin with Wifi and modern conveniences. The heart of the cabin is a country kitchen where you'll find frozen breakfast items available for your first morning. There are 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and plenty of cabin charm with room to unwind. We are close to downtown shops, race track, golf, skiing and attractions. After fun in the Village or slopes, return to a game of pool or relax on the deck. Weekend and holiday Prices are higher. Minimum of 3-4 nights on holidays.
My cute and quirky cabin layout gives you a glimpse into yesteryear when folks started with a small one-room cabin, then added to as time and resources allowed. There are two bedrooms off the living room. The Master has a king bed. The smaller bedroom has a double. The game room has two single IKEA chair beds that fold out. Three Air mattresses can fit in either the living room, master bedroom, enclosed front porch or game room.
Kitchen is completely equipped/furnished and you may use anything you find in the cupboards or frig if needed. Your first breakfast at the cabin will come from the freezer, where you'll find frozen breakfast foods that you can combine with fruit or juice for a nice simple meal. (Please limit to your first morning as i have planned the rest of the frozen goods for my next guests.) There's crock pot, rice cooker, toaster, blender, etc and most anything you'd need to prepare meals. There's an antique table and chairs for six.
The game room has a regulation-sized pool table (for adults), children's board games and books.
There are 2 bathrooms (newer fixtures) which each have a shower (no tubs). The Pine Cone bathroom is off the living room and has a handheld shower. The Bear-themed bathroom is off the kitchen (once was the back porch!) and offers large rain shower.

Print out your directions, maps, phone numbers and access code for traveling as some phone services are weaker through mountain passes. We haven't had trouble with our phone service, but depending on your carrier, you may have spotty service.
Lots of stairs up to the cabin and the kitchen is on a higher level than the other rooms in the cabin.
Dumpster is at the bottom of the hill.
Parking area at foot of stairs to deck has room for 3 vehicles.
No Smoking/Use of illicit drugs (Any cigarette butts/litter will affect deposit),
No Housing of guests other than those specified in rental agreement.
If we discover any of these incidents occur during your stay, you will be deducted your security deposit fee($250). There are reasons we have these rules, but we know that you'll take care of the cabin as if it were your own.
- Pool table should only be utilized by adults, unless close supervision of children. If the felt surface is torn, guests will be charged for repair or replacement.
- Garbage should be carried to dumpster at end of street at end of your stay. Please do not leave food or garbage on deck as it attracts bears.
- No lit candles please.
-No smoking in cabin nor on deck. In your vehicle only.
- BBQ grill available but be careful to turn off propane tank when finished. This grill is an extra and may not have propane at all times depending on usage. If empty, may purchase refill at nearby stores.
- Please respect Fire Restrictions posted on kitchen shelf.
- I would be awesome if you could throw a load of towels in washer and turn on the morning you leave the cabin. Thank you.
I'm just a phone call away. Call, text, message or email any time and I'll do my best to meet your need.
I'm a nurse, my husband a financial manager. We're fairly quiet and enjoy quiet cabins or homes that allow us to rest and explore. We have 9 young grandchildren and love our roles as Grahams and Poppy. We are always interested in History. We love the mountains and to spend time listening to the wind blowing through the pines in Ruidoso. We also love to explore forests, historical sites and quaint villages. Things that make life a little more special for us are visits from our Grandchildren, our 2 mini-Schnauzers, hot tea and a good movie.
