This is a lovely villa, with great amenities and well situated to let one discover the area in and around the Aude department (Carcassonne, Narbonne, the Cabrespine cave, the village of Lagrasse, etc.). The villa is new and really large (four of us stayed at the house for a week), with all of the amenities one could ask for.
The kitchen is very well equipped with all of the pots/pans/knives/utensils that one would need, and also has a generous spice rack, lots of different vinegars/oils, etc.
The bedrooms, kitchen and big living and dining room are all air conditioned, which was a nice surprise and was very nice to have during our stay when temperatures were in the high 30s (90s). Two of the four bedrooms have connected showers/toilets, which is super convenient. The provided linens and towels all appear to be new and clean.
The pool is perfect - a nice size, clean, cool, and refreshing.
The town center of Saint Laurent de la Cabrerisse is a few minutes' walk from the villa, and has all of the shops that one would need for a short stay (bakery, butcher, small grocery store, etc.), including a couple of good restaurants, and is itself fun to explore, especially in the early evening, when all of the town's cats are out and about.
Andrew's associate Mike greeted us upon our arrival at the villa, is very friendly, and was always available to answer any questions we had about the house (our big question during our stay was where to find the recycling bin :-) - Mike had already explained everything else that we needed to know when we first arrived).
To sum up, we spent a thoroughly enjoyable week at Andrew's villa - thanks Andrew and Mike!
