The house is located on the western side of the pond and has a 40 foot private beach as well as a private dock. There is a beautiful brick patio with a fire pit that overlooks the beach. The boat house has a screened in gazebo that overlooks the beach. You can entertain in the screen house while enjoying a bonfire at night. There are several decks and patios throughout the grounds.. You are located a short distance to the Cape Cod Canal and Scusset Beach.
- I personally want to welcome you to my home. I am sure your stay will be a wonderful experience. There are so many activities on the pond. The water is warm and great for an evening swim. The sandbar at the south end of the pond near the three rocks is a great place to lounge around and meet the neighbors. The fishing is abundant; lots of anglers seem to have luck in front of my home (the Fishing Hole). There is wood near the fire pit, if you want to enjoy a fire. If you have any questions please call me. I want to give you a few bits of information to help accommodate your stay. I there is a basket of beach towels for your use, and a clothesline outside of the kitchen slider for you to hang stuff to dry. In the bathroom I have provided shower towels and wash clothes and toiletries for your use. Please do not place anything down the toilet except toilet paper; the septic system will not retain any other objects (Thank you). There are hair dryers in bathroom and in a drawer in basement. All articles in the house are for your use. If needed there are several large pans in the basement for you use. All televisions work from a single clicker (see attachment). If you choose to rent movies from (On Demand) you will be billed the day before your departure. The stereo has speakers attached to the exterior, (see attachment for operation). I have placed a fire striker near the grill and the fire pit for your convenience. The electric igniter does work on the grill. Turn the propane on with cover closed and turn on front burner and press igniter, you should here it light, if not click started until it lights then turn on other burners. Please shut tank off after each use. If for some reason the gas is empty there is a spare tank in the garage. There is plenty of plastic ware and paper plates if you choose to use them. The toasters are located on the shelves next to table and there are appliances in the pantry, help yourself to everything. The exhaust fan above stove works well. Hold chain and give a slight tug to release and slowly pay out the chain, Reverse operation to close and shut off (make sure chain catches the hook and door is tight to keep bugs out). The left hand garage door will give you access to the game room as well as the door up top. The right hand side is a storage area for my belongings and not accessible to guest. There are several yard games on the shelving on the left side of the garage as you enter please return them when you’re done using them. When not using the game room please close doors to keep bugs to a minimum. There is a plastic tote with sheets and comforter and pillows for the pullout sofa. At the end of your stay please strip all beds and place sheets, pillowcases and towels near laundry area. The cleaning people and yard maintenance will be there sometime around 11 a.m. Leave all keys on the kitchen counter prior to departing.
- RENTAL RULES [Revise as applicable for your property] 1. Smoking is NOT allowed OR Smoking is allowed outside only. All smoking materials shall be disposed of properly (not thrown on the grounds). 2. People other than those in the Guest party set forth above may not stay overnight in the property. Any other person in the property is the sole responsibility of Guest. 3. The owner is not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. The Homeowner is not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise. 4. Keep the property and all furnishings in good order 5. Only use appliances for their intended uses 6. Pets are NOT allowed. 7. Parking: Option B: PARKING – Parking is limited to as many as needed vehicle(s). Vehicles are to be parked in designated parking areas only. 8. Housekeeping: There is no daily housekeeping service. While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. I have provided you with beach towels (in basement, keep separate from bath towels). We do not permit towels or linens to be taken from the units. 9. Hot Tub: [No children under the age of __16_ [without adult supervision]. When using the hot tub, remember there is a certain health risk associated with this facility. Use at your own risk. Our housekeepers drain, sanitize, refill and replenish chemicals in all tubs prior to your arrival; therefore, it may be necessary for the owner to stop by once a week to add chemicals. The hot tub is not heated during the summer months. [DO NOT STAND ON THE HOT TUB COVERS. Hot tub covers are for insulation purposes and are not designed to support a person or persons. They will break and you may be charged for replacement.] Remember when not using the hot tub, leave cover on so hot tub will stay warm and clean. 10. Water and Septic: The [property] is on a well and septic systems. The mineral content in the water is high. During a drought, the well water may have an odor. The septic system is very effective; however, it will clog up if improper material is flushed. DO NOT FLUSH anything other than toilet paper. No feminine products should be flushed at anytime. If it is found that feminine products have been flushed and clog the septic system, you could be charged damages of up to $(PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN). Storms: No refunds will be given for storms. 12. Firewood: is provided, renters are responsible to extinguish all fires before they leave fire pit area. 13. Kayaks: four (4) kayaks with paddles are provided for your use. These are to be stored in rack daily. Life jackets to be worn at all times. 14. Noise: Please be mindful of your neighbors late nights, Thank you. 15.
