Charming stone house in an idyllic village
surrounded by lush nature and bays with crystal clear water. Distance to sea 800 m.
It is located in the small village of Rudina, 2km from the beautiful small seaport of Starigrad. The area is Unesco World Cultural Heritage!
It is a fully renovated stone house now offering all modern comfort. It has three floors, 35sqm each, a yard of 40sqm and two balconies with wonderful views - stunning sunsets every night!
All rooms are tastefully furnished.

Le logement
The ground floor consists of a very cosy combined living and dining room as well as a stylish brand new kitchen. All furnishings were carefully chosen. The kitchen provides everything you need for cooking and baking, there is also a dishwasher. There is a typical Dalmatian grill in the yard.
The house has three bedrooms, one with a double bed and a very small one with a single (sofa)bed. The room upstairs is a rather spacious studio apartment with two comfortable (sofa)beds, writing desk and kitchenette. One more person can sleep in the living room. There are two bathrooms, one on the first floor, one on the second floor.
Rudina is located on a hill, approx. 80 meters above sea level. It is a wonderful walk of around 15 minutes down to Zukova bay. Zukova actually consists of various bays, so even in August you will find a quiet spot there. Right opposite lies Zavala beach. You can go by car to the narrowest spot of the island (ca. 3 min), but even from there it will be a short walk to either bay (5-10 minutes) – there is no direct car access!
There is plenty of beautiful landscape for walks or mountain bike excursions, e.g. the almost untouched stretch of Kabal peninsula as well as the well known Stari Grad plain (Unesco world cultural heritage) are very close by.

Autres points à prendre en note
Rudina is a amazing place if you like nature, peace and quiet, sun and swimming and lovely walks. Also, it is perfect for snorkeling and kayaking. Note: there is no direct car access to the Zukova beaches - which contributes to it being such an amazing, pristine bay!

In the charming small sea port of Stari Grad you will find a variety of small shops, three super markets, car/scooter/bike and boat rentals, good restaurants, bars and a lively, yet layed back atmosphere. There is a shopping centre at the ferry port. Several interesting archeological sites and churches are worth a visit, as well as Hectorovic palace.

In less than 10km distance, the villages of (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN)ska and Jelsa are nice places for excursions (also possible by bike or bus). The beautiful Venetian town of Hvar is less than 20km away.

I live with my family in Erfurt as a freelance author. I love being on the beautiful island of Hvar, which I discovered some years ago, and am happy to share our charming house in Rudina with others who enjoy "arcadian" surroundings. But during the school holidays, you will often find me there myself...
