Hampton Cottage is a charming 17th century detached cottage, half thatched,(originally two dwellings), with a beautiful secluded garden backing onto open downland. Artists studio for guests use.
It is on the edge of the peaceful village of Portesham , 2 miles from Chesil Beach on the Jurassic coast. Well appointed inside for a very comfortable stay, and 3min walk for great food at the village pub or the Ducks Cafe. Walk up the hill from the village and see along the Dorset coast to Devon.
The cottage is beautifully appointed with underfloor heating, wood stove, beamed ceilings downstairs and spacious well equipped kitchen/dining room. Great for foodies. Good size and very comfortable sitting room.
Very large, light master bedroom with ensuite lav and wash basin. The other two bedrooms are also very comfy and pretty.
The whole cottage has a wonderful feeling of space and light, and the garden a lovely view of the downs. There is a Dancook Barbecue to use on the upper lawn and garden dining area.
Good for families, walkers, artists, fishing from Chesil beach, bird watching.
