beautiful home offers the perfect base from where to explore the Cape Peninsula and beyond, along with great views over Kalk Bay.

Expect classic charm (built in 1922) with all the modern creature comforts. The house comprises three separate living units - all with separate entrances.

- Located on Anderson Road, Kalk Bay the house is a short 250m walk from the restaurants and shops found on Kalk Bay's main road.
- While the house dates back almost 100 years, it is well maintained - delivering both charm and comfort.
- Comprises upstairs and downstairs units which can be booked separately
- Upstairs has a large main bedroom with ensuite bathroom, large living/ dining area and well-equipped kitchen.
- Downstairs has a bedroom and bathroom, living area with open plan kitchen and a pull-out sofa for extra guests
- Each unit has access to a secure locked garage and private entrance.
- Shared facilities include a braai deck and garden retreat

For guest stays longer than a week we offer a complimentary weekly clean which includes tidying the listing, doing any dishes, changing bedding and towels, emptying rubbish, etc. Note that this does NOT include personal laundry.

Should you experience any issues during your stay please feel free to contact us via Airbnb messenger or (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN).

Checkout:
We will meet you at the listing for checkout unless arranged otherwise. There is no need to clean but please hang open towels and switch off appliances/ lights.

- The house comprises three units that share an entrance hallway.
- All three units also have separate entrances.
- My daughter, Samantha, lives in one of the downstairs units. She will usually keep to herself but can assist if you need her to.
- The house has three garages and each unit (Sam, upstairs and downstairs).
- Samantha has cats that stay in her unit.
- This listing is pet friendly (as long as your pets are friendly). The perimeter is fenced in and we don't mind pets in the house. We just ask that you take care that they do not damage anything. Please also make sure you clean up after them.
- The gardener comes every Saturday and has keys to let himself in.
- A complimentary weekly is included in the booking price but a daily cleaning lady can be arranged. Please request this at the time of booking so that the necessary arrangements can be made.
- Early check-in / Late checkout: We often have same day check-in's and checkouts. Our check-in time is after 3pm and our checkout time is before 10am. We will do our best to accommodate early check-in requests or late checkout requests. Where that is not possible we will do our best to accommodate an early bag drop or late luggage storage. NOTE that this is not guaranteed and will be confirmed the day before check-in/ checkout.
- Please note that check-in time is before 8pm and that a late check-in fee of R300 will apply to all check-in's after 8pm.
- While this listing has an uncapped ADSL line, we would like to emphasize that the line has a soft cap. With this in mind we have a fair use limit of 2GB per day. Continuous and excessive use of the line will result in additional charges to the host which will be charged to the guest.

- Respect your neighbours: you might be on holiday but some of our neighbours are not. So no loud music after 10pm.

- The upstairs unit sleeps 2: no additional overnight guests are allowed.

- No smoking in the house. Smoking permitted outside but please dispose of cigarette butts in the bin.

- Our cleaning lady will clean the apartment before your arrival and then once a week for longer stays. She has a key to the house to let herself in. She is very reliable and there is no need to worry about theft. Additional cleaning can be arranged at an additional cost.

- A key replacement fee of $35 will apply if keys are lost and must be paid before checkout or will be recovered using the Airbnb resolution center.

- Please note that check-in time is before 8pm and that a late check-in fee of R300 will apply to all check-in's after 8pm.

Excellent spacious flat with all mod cons in a very convenient location, 5 minutes walk from the centre of Kalk Bay. Kalk Bay itself is a lovely town with lots of great eateries and a good centre for the whole of the Cape peninsular.

Beautiful views! Close to great mountain trails. Can walk down to shops and the scenic Kalk Bay harbour. Great run from kalk bay to muizenberg. Close to cape point. Awesome fire place. Well decorated clean and modern.

Don't hesitate book a room here. The view from this home is stunning. It's a close walk to the restaurants and shops. We had an amazing meal at The Harbour House (our steaks were amazing), Satora (amazing pizza) and Olympic Cafe( huge and delicious omelettes, I recommend sharing) It's a great location for day trips to Simons Town, Boulders, Cape of Good Hope. Cape Point Vineyards is also a must as it has a beautiful view of the ocean in addition to amazing wine. I recommend ordering a cheese plate or pre-ordering a picnic basket. We only stayed 3 nights and I would stay longer next time. Great value for this beautiful home. Their super host Alex was really friendly and great with communication. Thank you!

Wir lebten eine knappe Woche in dieser herrlichen Wohnung in Kalk Bay und genossen die Zeit sehr. Die Wohnung ist unglaublich geräumig, so dass unser Sohn, der gerade Laufen lernt ganz viel Platz hatte. Die Treppen sind gesichert und es liegen und stehen auch keine "gefährlichen" Sachen rum. Das Bett ist riesengroß und super bequem, von dort hatten wir einen Blick zu dem wir gerne jeden Morgen aufwachen würden. Auch die Küche ist hochqualitativ und topmodern ausgestattet. Der Garten und die Braai-Area sind dagegen eher klein. Kalk Bay ist sowieso ein Traum, der Hafen mit seinen Robben, frischen Fisch zu kaufen, leckerem Fish 'n Chips, die vielen originellen Geschäfte, die Bäckerei Olympia, die alles für ein feines Frühstück hat, die Tidal Pools zum Baden, die Buchten hinter Simons Town zum Schwimmen und Tauchen... Wir wären gerne länger geblieben!

Stunning views, steep but short walk to the shop, restaurants and harbour! The apartment is huge, beautifully finished and extremely welll equiped - we had a very good stay!

Wunderschöne Aussicht in einer sehr grossen und perfekt eingerichteten Wohnung auch für einen lägeren Aufenthalt geeignet! Ruhig, sonnig mit Traumblick beim wachwerden... Hinweis: ein Teil des Schlafzimmers ist mit Teppichboden ausgelegt und somit für Allergiker nicht geeignet!
