The house is around 1,100 square feet, with 4 bedrooms and one bathroom. The kitchen has a high ceiling with sun windows and a view of the goats and sheep on the neighbor's hillside. We're on one acre with a creek flowing through and plenty of grass, six apple trees, a fenced in garden, a swinging bench, and a tree house to explore and enjoy. One of a kind house. We are two minutes from downtown Placerville and Apple Hill.

We love meeting people and are pro mutual aid, bartering, and self sufficiency- so we think Airbnb is a pretty cool resource. We've lived in this house for three years and had previously rented out our cottage that sits right next to the main house. This summer we've decided to rent out the main house to families, like us, with children and pets, since we were strictly renting to couples in the cottage (due to it's size and brand new condition.) Our home has character, is not a fancy shmansy home, but has a cozy warmth to it making it very homey.
I'm a Kindergarten teacher's assistant and my husband is a middle school Special Ed. teacher. We have two sons, Zen and Ehlias, 6.5 and 1.5 years old. We love growing our own food, raising animals, reading, exploring, and experiencing life closest to the natural world. If we could make the world a better place, it would start with prioritizing the well being of our planet Earth, and all of the living things that occupy it- way before we even considered an economic system. (But this is very far away as economic growth comes before all living things, including human life in our current system).
We hope you will have fun barbecuing, hiking around the forest behind our acre, watching the goats and sheep in their natural environment, stargazing, making bonfires, and feasting with loved ones in the kitchen and on the patio.
We will be staying not too far away on 28 acres that is home to a beautiful swimming hole- so let us know if you want to come out to swim one day!
