Anna, many thanks for your comments and suggestions - these are always appreciated so that we can address any issues raised and further enhance the experience for our guests. We were overseas at a wedding at the time you stayed so we not able to be on hand to address issues like Wi-Fi and the need to replace light bulbs which any home-owner knows can blow at any time - we or our housekeeper always check these before each booking. However we did provide you and guests staying in other cottages with the contact details of our housekeeper and handyman knowing we would be away - perhaps you chose not to contact them for some reason?
Your comments on the décor and soft furnishings are timely as we have embarked on a major project to substantially revamp these with new rugs, cushions and other fabrics. However your comment about the electrics puzzles us as we had the house completely re-wired only a few years ago and also completely replaced all water and drainage services - we have instructed our electrician to check this out so future guests are not inconvenienced.
Regarding the kitchen/dining table there is definitely seating for 8 guests as listed, with 8 matching dining chairs for the table - the two matching carver chairs you were unable to locate were in one of the front rooms ready for guests to bring to the dining table if required. However, we have since relocated these back to the dining area.
A second bathroom and separate toilet are on the drawing boards along with a new indoor/outdoor living area but as our house is heritage listed and we are in the middle of the busy season here in Mudgee, the planned work will take time to secure heritage approval and will be scheduled for the quieter summer months.
We look forward to welcoming you back at some point to experience the enhancements we have planned as the next phase in Westville's continuing evolution. Kind regards Mark and Sandy
