Weather in the desert can be a real hazard. When it is hot please expect to need 2 gallons of water per person per day minimum if you plan on moving at all, it is recommended to consume a gallon per day per person if you are sedentary in that kind of heat. Daytime temps in the summer climb over the 110 degree mark. In the winter it can be quite cold at night, sometimes freezing for a week at a time. Winter storms and Summer monsoons are also something to consider when planning to travel to the high desert. Flash flooding can get you stranded and the wet desert floor can be difficult to camp on. The National Weather Service is our weather resource, you may use this to gauge your camping weather.
Please treat our homestead and land with the same respect you would for your own. - No grey water or trash in firepits - No littering - Please follow the Leave No Trace Principle - Please drive on established roads and parking areas only.
