There was a miscommunication between the owner and the staff. We arrived at 5pm and after an hour a room was available even though we made reservations. But the owner was very good and was very apologetic. The room was clean and the A/C was very, very nice. A good place to stay!

What a fantastic little gem in El Nido, this place is nicely tucked away from the chaos and is a really well presented and organised place. The family that run it are truly warming, it was one of our favourite spots we've stayed on our 4 week trip around the Philippines. I'd highly recommend it to anybody.

Overall: Lora's place was well worth the stay. Her family who run the place are so warm, friendly and inviting - I really enjoyed getting to know them and they were super helpful when I had questions or needed tips about the local area, or needed help arranging transport :) Location: The location of the place worked well for me - it's central (nothing is too far in El Nido Town Proper), walking distance (10 minutes max to one of the main food areas and the town beach) and far away enough from the nightly hubbub to disturb your sleep. You can definitely enjoy the nightlife and then come back and get a good night's rest here :) Location wise, this property is located off one of the main roads/street, and is a bit more residential than other parts of El Nido Town Proper in which hostels etc are located - but it's not secluded at all, and is still super convenient, with the right balance of peace and quiet and fun town spirit. There's plenty of food, hangout spaces and shops nearby, as well as the town beach, booking agents and places to wander. Smoking: Smoking is allowed - not in the rooms thankfully, but around the building. If you are a non-smoker, just be wary that people may smoke outside your bedroom door and your room may end up smelling of smoke! It has been suggested that smoking is only allowed downstairs, in the outside ground area. Transport: There were many tricycles hanging around the main street, so it's super convenient to get to and fro if you don't fancy walking. As mentioned though, everything central that you might need and want is walking distance. You only really need to take a tricycle if you're visiting one of the beaches further our or are taking a special trip somewhere. Amenities - Breakfast: Breakfast wise, there's bread and coffee (and I think tea too!) If you have special dietary requirements (like I do), you can head into other parts of the town centre where you'll be sure to find something to suit your needs (e.g. vegan!) Room: The room was great - I usually stay in hostels, so this felt more like a relaxation stay for me :) It was spacious, and just generally relaxing. For power shower people - the shower isn't powerful - but it does the job and that's the main thing! You will feel cleaned and refreshed, just like with any other shower :) Wifi: Wifi worked well most of the time. It was a bit less consistent in the evenings for some reason, but that might have been just for me! Wifi only works in the reception area and not in the rooms (just FYI). However, plan to spend minimal time on Wifi...you are in beautiful El Nido after all! Price and value for money and more overall notes: If you are on a tight budget and are looking for a true budget place...
