Our place is good for solo adventurers, couples with children, responsible dog owners and business travelers. It is a private downstairs suite with a separate entrance, a bedroom and kitchen on a cul-de-sac ending at Duboce Park. There is a BBQ and a workable vintage tub on the patio. Walls are hung with local art, and the park is perfect for strolling, kid play and dogs off leash. We are in a great historic neighborhood and the Muni train steps away can take you anywhere else.
The artistically designed space is ideal for 1-3 people. Although it is not large, it feels comfortably open and airy. The bedroom has a lockable sliding door providing privacy if need be, with a queen bed. The chandeliered sunken living space includes a dining or work table, a single daybed, a couch, chairs, shelving and a TV and WiFi. The tiled shower is big enough for a family, and separated from the half bath down the hall. A wall of closets provides plenty of space for belongings along the entry hallway.

The in-law style apartment suite has its own separate keyed entrance and lockable inner apartment door, with homeowners upstairs sharing a foyer to their garage. A rear door leads from the bedroom onto a patio. There is a view to the patio and garden from the living area, and the larger garden up a few stairs from the patio is accessible to guests.
A vintage tub sits on the private patio, available for filling from a hose from the adjacent kitchen - for brave souls.
We have mainly used this separate apartment for family members and guests. It's private, freshly painted , cozy, warm and charming. We prefer that guests only smoke outside on the patio. We are on an easy train route downtown or to Ocean Beach, as well as linking to Bart to cross the Bay or get to the airport. Parking is not impossible; we can provide tips. The neighborhood is very cool - close to Haight Street, the Painted Ladies, Nopa (Divisadero St), the Mission and The Castro. Golden Gate Park is close, as is Hayes Street shopping , and the Civic Center with the Symphony, Ballet, Asian Art Museum, Main Library, Bill Graham Auditorium and City Hall. Restaurants and Cafes abound in the neighborhood.
